Wondering about the wedding theme
Our original plan was to get married on the beach, but now I'm wondering about having a 1920s themed wedding. My fiancee likes wearing the fedoras and classic items like that. I love the idea of wearing a birdcage or a feathered headband like they used to wear. BUT that brings up a whole bunch of new problems, like what color scheme to use. I love the idea of black and white, maybe with a funky blue color instead of the more common red. But in regards to bridesmaids, I'm not sure what dresses to use. I just started looking and I want something a little different than most peoples. This dress struck me as different but I'm not sure how it will look on my bridesmaids-specifically one, she's about 5'3' and curvy. My local salon carries Belsoie dresses, but not that specific one in stock. Is it worth ordering? Which theme do you like better, a beach themed beach OR a 1920s themed wedding (not at the beach....another problem, gotta find an appropriate venue....)

The upload feature isn't working right now, so here's a link to the dress: http://www.jasminebridal.com/J_2_1_1_1.aspx?sqno=JPN2009102510812&j_style_no=STYL20080821006&j_line_no=LINE20080821016&j_line_season=S&forb=f
I'll try to upload it later.

Beachy-looking bridesmaids dresses
I think we want a deep royal blue, black, and a pale yellow as my wedding color scheme. I've just started looking and so far I like the Dessy Bridesmaids, the After Six, and Alfred Sung collections (which are all by the same designer.) Since I want the wedding on the beach, I want some nice dresses that kind of have that "beachy" feel. I think Chiffon material would do nicely, but I seem to like more of the taffeta and matte satin material dresses than the chiffon ones.
Here is some of the dresses I've found that I like so far. As you can tell, I like the tea length dresses. I think either using the royal blue or the sapphire colors, with black ribbons and then have them hold bouquets with yellow and orange lillies or something (i havent really thought out the bouquets yet). In case you can't use the links on the photo captions, here they are again:

Which style do you like best so far? What do you think of my wedding colors? And if you know of any designers/styles that are similar to what I want then drop a note :) Thanks everybody!!

Wedding Dress
I'm in love with this dress!!
Except I want it with the pewter detail not gold. This wedding dress is the most beautiful I've ever seen. I want to try it on so badly!! (Its the Amara Royale by Maggie Sottero in case you were wondering.) Here is a link to a picture of it with the pewter detail. http://www.maggiesottero.com/viewBride.aspx?keywordText=amara&keywordType=any&pageSize=15&Id=7097

What do you think??
