Wedding Theme!
Vintage Kitchen!
So I realized today that my wedding actually has a theme without me even trying to create one. My wedding theme happens to be a vintage kitchen. Due to my collection of vintage cookbooks and kitchen canisters a theme was born.

Gift Table
I still want my gifts!
No bridal shower equals gift table at the wedding.I still want my gifts so I will have a small gift table at my ceremony or reception. I will also have a small card box for envelopes on the table.
Is this a tacky idea for a bride without a bridal shower? |

SKYPE!!!!!!!!
Calling all skypers!!!!!!!
The best thing ever created was skype. Yes skype! I don't know what we would've done without it. My FH and I skype religiously twice a day. We are still in a long distance relationship so we really depend on skype. It is something we look forward to everyday. I am ashamed to admit that I sleep with my laptop on my bed. Every morning and night or whenever I need my baby I just roll over and I can see his face. We can laugh and share things with each other we could've done over a phone.We down right abuse skype. I mean I don't have to say everything that skype is useful for but you ladies get the picture ;-)

Did you meet your FH online?
My FH and I met online about 10 months before he proposed 1 month ago . We were both serious about finding our soulmate. Both of us want to start a family soon after we are married.
Everyone thought I was crazy for taking a risk with my life and heart. People in the Bahamas still think online dating is taboo.However today 1 in every 5 relationships have been started through an online dating site. I am so happy I was brave enough to take a risk. It brings me to tears just to think if I hadn't join that site I would've never met my hunny bear :( My life is sooooo good right now I wouldn't change a thing. I encourage more single people I meet to try it for themselves.Online dating is clearly not for everyone. You still have to be very careful and aware that there are people out there looking for the weak. There are many scammers, dead beats, liars, losers and 1 thing on the mind people out there. Did you meet you FH oline??????????????????? |

Down to 2 Options.
I know most people opt for a lunch or dinner reception because of many good reasons. We are going for the brunch reception. Well for starters it's good to our budget. Brunches are less costly and our guest won't expect to have an open bar..hehehe. Most of all I haven't meet anyone yet who doesn't like breakfast food. My FH and I loveeeee breakfast so much we cook it for dinner many nights.
We don't want just any brunch reception though. We want good food and beautiful presentation. We want are guest to think they have died and gone to breakfast heaven. We are down to 2 options. The Cotton Exchange and Timmer's Resort. Both have exactly what we are looking for in a venue and menu. This is our brunch menu choice. SUNDAY PRIME RIB BRUNCH BUFFET 10:00 AM 2:00 PM $15.95 adults $6.95 children 3-10yrs *Chef Carved Prime Rib *Four Chef's Choice Entrees *Eggs Benedict *Made to Order Omletes *Bacon/Sausage *Waffle /French Toast *Potatoes *Vegetables * Salads *Desserts *Coffee and Juice Everything we want at our reception. |

No Bridal Shower!
Spa Day Anyone?
I knew before I said YES that it was a NO to a bridal shower. I always wanted to have just a spa day the day before my wedding. It will be me my mother, sisters and maybe futher mother in law. We can all get our nails done and have massages even if it's just 1/2 hour back rubs. It will surely beat having a sick drunk MH..hehehe.

Brides Bouquet
White Peonies!!!
There is no other flower for me. When I first saw this flower at a friends wedding I wanted to weep. This flower seriously gets me emotional..hehehehe. Peonies are super elegant,feminine and bold. I want to feel elegant, feminine and bold on my day so peonies for me.
I will have a thick red gingham ribbon around the stems. |

The Table and Decoration
Cookbooks,Flowers,Vintage Kitchen Canisters
Hello ladies I have a little secret to reveal. It's my cookbook and kitchen canister collection. I have been collecting them for a few years now. I only collect the red and white gingham cover Better Homes and Garden. I have a little over 20 which is an edition from each decaded they were made. My oldest one is from 1947. I think it's the oldest but I could be wrong. My kitchen canister are all red and white and different sizes. I have a total of 16 canisters. Anyway I love my collections so much I want to include them on my table. I will have one long communal table for my 50 guest including bride and groom. All of the cookbooks have the same gingham covers and the canisters are all red. I was thinking of using my second color for the table cloth.Visualize this with me.

I am feeling good about this idea. I definitely want to be careful that I don't over kill the table with to much stuff. |
