Wedding Dress - 2nd Dress?? - FRECKLEDANGEL's Red Wedding by Color Blog

How many of you ladies are going to have a 2nd dress? Is this called a reception dress? I originally said "no way" to this idea but, lately I am really liking this idea. My ceremony dress is going to be rather large and I like the idea of having something a bit more light and easier to move in. I was thinking about this ivory and gold dress.

So those of you having 2 dresses are you sticking to just white or Ivory? Going with Color? Going Short? Thanks for your help/

that dress is gorgeous! I had a second dress- I bought a white bridesmaids dress and had it hemmed to the knee and added a navy blue sash to it. It was really similar to my ceremony gown, just shorter. Everyone's first reaction when I walked in wearing it was "omg- you didn't just cut the skirt off your dress did you!?"

When I was thinking up my wedding for the past 10 years (lol) I always thought I wanted a 2nd dress. It's how I always pictured it, but I found a dress that doesn't have a bustle, isn't heavy and is uber-expensive so I can't see myself only wearing it for an hour or 2 and then taking it off. So I've decided I'm rocking my one dress since it's fun enough to dance in all night!

I wanted to have a second dress but I fell in love with my first one, and it was super expensive! I want to wear it as much as possible, plus I can't justify spending that much money on something I'll only wear a few hours!! That dress is really pretty, and looks way easier to dance in!

I think this dress is beautiful and so different if your other dress is large!
If your doing a second dress, I THINK you should do some color, and since your getting married in November (we have the same wedding date!!) I'd go long, it just kind of fits the month!

I chose a dress I think I can wear all night, it's the shoes I need to change! I'm looking for a pair of red satin sneakers. LOL

i originally wanted a 2nd dress until i reallyy fell hard for my wedding dress. i don't want to get off of it!

I wish wish wish wish i got a second dress for the reception because my dress was so uncomfortable and hot. It almost ruined my nights and i was close to tears. I know this isnt the case for most ppl but for me i would of sold my first child for a shorter or more free flowly light dress... o man lol
