Soon after we got engaged and it was confirmed I said yes :) We talked about when we want to get married. Dan's favorite season is Fall and I always wanted my colors to be brown and pink, so it made sense. But after talking with the parents and realizing that we would be paying for everything ourselves we decided to have a little longer engagement.

We also want to buy a house this year and the money we have saved is going to go for closing costs and all that great stuff. I figure a house is a better investment.

But with that fabulous $8000 tax credit I think we made a great choice.

1 1/2---we were engaged in april 2008 and I wanted a fall wedding but that October was too close, so tthis October it is. :-)

ours was 2 years. by the time we say I DO it'll be 2 years and 7 months.

Our engagement is just about 2 years...he asked in Nov. 2007 and our wedding is August 2009

We're also paying for our wedding ourselves. We got engaged on our 3 yr anniversary, 11.8.08 and will be married on 9.5.10 =) so ya....22 months!!! But it's all good because we'll have saved up by then so everything will be paid for so they're won't be any debt after the honeymoon =) Besides........good things come to those who wait =)

we will have been engaged for 16 months on our wedding day! got to give people fair warning as it is abroad! :-)

we'll have been engaged for almost 2 years. He proposed October 17/08 and we are getting married October 2nd, 2010. We wanted time to save as well.. we don't have a house but we do live together in an apartment. It's nice to have so long to plan anyway. It's almost been a year since he proposed, and it's gone by SO fast! Feels like he just proposed 2 months ago!

He purposed October 04, 2008 and the wedding is going to be October 02, 2010. So just about 2 years for us.
