Sorry it took me so long to post...but here are the pictures from my wedding!!!! Enjoy!!!!

Here are some pictures of how I want the flowers arranged for myself...the one with the bride is the one I want for myself...and the other is how I want my bridesmaids bouquets to look. I am getting them a different mixtures of orange :)

So the girls decided to go with dress number 6129SN while my maid of honor went with separates that almost looks like 6454S, but the skirt is not organza, just satin and the top she chose is not heart shaped, but has the ribbon around and it's actually those same colors...top is harvest gold with espresso ribbon to match the espresso skirt.

My maid of honor's dress has come in already so the bridesmaids dresses should be arriving shortly :)

Hello again. So my cake tasting is not until the 15th of September...but I have a feeling I am going to pick vanilla since that is my favorite flavor!!!! Here are some pictures of some cakes I like tell me which ones you ladies like the best!

Hello ladies!!!! My fiance and I are trying to rush invitations out of here...but his car broke and now we have no transportation to go out and buy stamps...gosh weddings are so crazy!!! Just thought I'd update...

This weekend my fiance and I went to Macy's to register for gifts. And it was so much fun. I think I picked out a really pretty pattern for the china. What do you girls think? Macy's has a bonus program. They give you a gift card that is worth 5% of the total money people bought from your registry!

I love doing the registries and just getting excited about when I get to use all this stuff!!!!

Regina Spektor is presently one of my favorite music artists. I started listening to her music when her song "Us" constantly played on (what was then) the Austin Music channel (channel 15 for those local to Austin). At first the song was new, quite annoying. But then it grew on me, and also grew on my fiance Jeff.

So when Jeff saw that she was going to be playing in Dallas , he told me we should go see it. I was excited, because the school year had been really hard, I'd had no break from school, so the show was going to be a really nice mini-break for me.

We drive the three hour drive to Dallas and at they Gypsy Tea Room enjoyed the show very much. Although it also made me realize that I was now an adult and no longer a fan of crowds. Jeff and I stood in the back of the room, away from the horde of people, and enjoyed the show from there.

After the show....we walk back to the car and as soon as I get in my seat, Jeff tells me he has a gift for me. I immediately thought he had gotten me something from Victoria's Secret (since I was a recent addict). He brings out this huge gift bag and I am convinced he has bought me something from VS. Here's the surprise...if any of you ladies have seen the movie Serendipity with John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale then you know what's up ahead. Remember that scene when Kate comes home to a big box? Well Jeff's proposal was pretty much like that. So I am going through this bag, that has a smaller bag in it. And in that bag there is a smaller bag...and after about the fourth bag or so I realize what he's doing. I am really nervous...and I'm wondering if I am going to say yes or no...I mean I knew I was going to say yes. I get to the last bag and it is empty!!!! He kneels in front of me and tries (it really was an effort) to get the ring out of his pocket and says..."will you marry me?"

I think the drive home to Austin was a lot quicker than the drive to Dallas and needless to say I had butterflies and knots in my stomach the entire time. I don't know what else I did that day, this was November 9, 2006. But I remember that I got a marquis solitaire and the promise of eternal love that day.

This is my first post and it might as well be something worth sharing to other brides!!!! I don't know how many other brides know about the Hobby Lobby bridal sale but it is pretty awesome. I got a lot of stuff from here...and I can't believe they had the sale both last June and just last week this July. Here are some things I have purchased and just something I recommend to other brides who are watching their pennies.

1) Guest book and sign in pen. $5, $7.50
2) Departure favors: bubbles $2 each (I bought 5 boxes because they come in packs of 24)
3) Favor Boxes: so the story on this is pretty crazy. So my fiance and I both picked up these favor boxes. Mine was marked 11.00 while his were marked 29.99 and they were the same exact favor boxes. So we brought it up to the cash register and got the three of them for $11.00 with the 50% they came out to 5.50 each. So we bought three boxes of 50.
4) Velum inserts $3.50 (we bought 5 of these). We are going to use them for programs. I am going to buy construction paper in our wedding colors, brown and orange and placing the velum on top the construction paper and tying them in with matching ribbons I bought at Michael's for like .50 cents a roll.
5. Flower girl basket $7.50
6. Ring bearer pillow $7.50
7. Fake rings to put in the pillow $1.50

That is all I can remember for now. But anyhow I hope this helps some of you ladies!!!! Keep your out for the sale!
