Ceremony Music
This portion is FINALIZED!!!!
Well...my FH and I stayed up pretty late last night trying to figure out what song should be played for our ceremony. Let me tell you all something...we both have our different taste in music...so this mad it hard to make a good decision.
What we did was...each of us would write down on our own paper what kind of music we would to play. We were looking at roughly 13-14 songs. When we were done we compared them and surprisingly enough we had over half of it exactly the same. WHO WOULD HAVE KNOWN!! There were 4 songs that didn't match up...lol. So I chose 2 from his list and he did the same to my list. Low and behold that when we put the list together this is what we got... The music will be played in that exact order. PRELUDE: Songs 1-6 PROCESSIONAL: Songs 7 & 8 BRIDAL ENTRANCE: Song 9 (I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this song!!!) INTERLUDE: Song 10 (I think it's perfect for our Candle Lighting) RECESSIONAL: Song 11(It's OFFICIAL!!) POSTLUDE: Songs 12-14 (A little upbeat...just to let the guest know what to expect when they get to the reception.) I love it!!! I would also like some feedback from you all. Tell me what you think! |

Wedding Music...
Music Trouble!
Hello WBC! Is anyone of you bride's having trouble finding the RIGHT music for you day? I know I am...I kind of have it but then again I don't. My FH and I have 2 very different interests in music! I know for the most part some of you bride's have that one song that you remember playing in the background when you and your FH started talking. I remember mines very well..but it's NOT the type of song to be playing at a wedding, if you all catch my drift!!
I want our first dance to be very special. For the past month, I have been receiving emails about the song "At Last" by Etta James (well the one Beyonce sung to the Obama's first presidential dance). That song seems to be the perfect song for us considering that by the time we tie the knot...it will be almost 5 years! So...yeah, AT LAST he will be mine! Any suggestions with 1st dance songs and others as well??? ***UPDATE*** Here is a website for a lot of great songs for your wedding! http://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-songs |

STRONG LOVE...
This Taurus is loving her Capricorn!!!
WHY IT WORKS:
Your relationship is the epitome of an old-school classic, the stuff of romantic black-and-white films. As fellow earth signs, you're both traditional and family-oriented, and you quickly put down roots together. Your values and politics generally line up, and it's easy to be around this mellow fellow. Like you, the Capricorn man takes it slow and steady. As two of the zodiac's hardest-working signs, you'll clock plenty of office hours. Capricorn wants to build a nest egg for future generations, and you both have the savvy to do it. At the same time, your earth natures make you both sensual and pleasure-loving. You love to dress up for an elegant evening, and Capricorn will gladly oblige. WHAT YOU HAVE TO WORK ON: Capricorn men can be brooding and melancholy, and you're not big on mood swings. You like things consistent, and when he falls into a funk, it irks you. His sign is ruled by stern, authoritarian Saturn, while Taurus is governed by sensual, romantic Venus. You don't mind him playing daddy as long as there's a little sugar in the mix. Should he become rigid or disapprove of your "extravagance," you'll boil with rage. "Nobody puts Baby in the corner," as the famous Dirty Dancing line goes. At times, this guy can seem distant and unreachable, a Lone Ranger or Marlboro Man type (think Capricorn Kevin Costner). You need attention and affection, so let him know! HOW TO MAKE IT LAST: It's so easy to be around each other, you can quickly shut the rest of the world out. With your stubborn natures, living in a bubble can be detrimental. As a creature of habit, you easily get stuck in a rut, Taurus. More than you, Capricorn is a workaholic, but too much work makes Jack a dull boy. Insist on sharing date nights, vacations and other pleasures. You may have to drag Cap out the door, but once he's there, he'll be happy as a clam. Your sensuality is a gift to him, so treat your Capricorn to massages and affection. You can be explosive, Taurus, so when you get into raging Bull mode, his wisdom and steady calm can lend you perspective. He loves to be your hero, so ask for his help when you need it. Ask a Question
HELP!! What should I do about alcohol at my Reception??
My FH and I would like to have a little bar at our reception. Everyone on my side and his side of the family likes to drink. But our problem is my FH and I do not want to take the responsibility of over-drinkers!! It's our wedding...and we would like to have a GOOD time and not spend time taking people's keys (for their own good). I understand the responsibility and the result DRINKING & DRIVING!! And if something terrible happens then I don't think that I would forgive myself...let alone enjoy my honeymoon!!!
I need help. What should I do??? |

PINK SHOES!!!
I found them...and fell in love!
Hello WBC. For those of you who would like to wear PINK heels underneath there wedding dress...the search may be over! Since my wedding colors are Pink and Brown...I thought that I would look nice to wear Pink heels. I have been searching and searching for many days, hours, minutes, and even seconds looking for a company that sells pink shoes.
About an hour ago I googled Pink Heels...I came across this site: http://www.madamshoes.com/search.php?mode=search&page=1 Talk about lots of PINK HEELS....OMG!! There's like 6 pages of shoes to choose from. Personally in my previous post I love heels! Some are kind of hookerish or too sexy...but you still have the ones that are just right for that wonderful day called your "Wedding Day!" I am a BUDGET BRIDE to the fullest...but I always find myself splurging on a pair or two of heels....I'm talking about $60-$80 designer heels. So, when I found this website...I was shocked at how much they were asking for them...can we talk about a SERIOUS DISCOUNT for those of us that likes to SPLURGE on designer heels!!! These prices are resonable enough to not BREAK THE BANK or put a HURRICANE EYE size hole in your FH's (if he is the one paying for majority or all of the wedding costs) wallet! LOL! With all that being said...I will be ordering my pink shoes from this website. Here are a couple of the PINK Heels that I love. For all you Pink, Chocolate & Pink, Red & Pink, Blue & Pink, Sage & Pink, and etc. Brides...I hope this post helps you out!!! The ones that I am considering is 1st, 2nd, and the 6th. Haven't made my final decision on my dress...so once I nail that done....I will figure out which shoe will be the one! Or....I might just by all three....they are really cute!! LOL. GOOD LUCK SHOE HUNTING WBC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Wedding Dress
Help!! I love them both.
I want to choose my dress from Davids Bridal. But, I just can't decide on which one to make my final decision on. Both dress are curve flattering and detail oriented.
As for the back of the 2 dresses...I wasn't able to copy it. Here are the web address for them. Tell me what you all think! All 3 of these dresses are from David's Bridal. www.davidsbridal.com For the Reception dress...it depends on how hot and heavy my 1st dress will be. I don't want to feel like the dress is weighing me down. So that decision will be made when I try on my wedding dress. Please vote!! |

Shoe Saver
Sole mates for your heels!
I have a BIG tip for all you women that loves to wear stilettos or any for of shoes with narrow heels.
Im a real fan of stilettos. I have some in pink, turquoise, red, brown, black and the list goes on. We all know that stilettos are the shoe choice for weddings. Not only are they elegant but simply beautiful especially in bright shades. Now with that being said, they arent very ground friendly you know, they sink into grass, get stuck in cracks and get ruin by pebbles. And don't forget about the sole of your heels wearing down after each use. These flexible designs grips attaches to majority of skinny heels. They then increase the heel area which prevents you from getting stuck in whatever you can possibly get stuck in. Its mentioned on their site that the SoleMates High Heeler grips securely without damaging the heel or compromising the aesthetics of the shoe. I think this is an excellent idea. They come in Clear and Black! So you put them on when taking outdoor pictures or if you have an outdoor wedding, then you take them off to party indoors. Im really liking this idea maybe I should buy a case ;) http://www.thesolemates.com/ |

Venue
Considering this venue!
While searching for a venue...I have been referred to all kinds all over Charleston, SC. Most of them didn't satisfy the image of our day. We narrowed it down from 20 to 2.
1. Kiawah Island Sanctuary Hotel - Beach type wedding 2. Magnolia Plantation & Gardens - Garden type wedding After carefully talking with each other about both sites...we made our decision to go with the Garden wedding. It's perfect and much less expensive than doing it at the hotel. After visiting this place the other day...these pictures does that place no justice!! It looks better in person. Even breathtaking when our day comes!!!! |
