This is futurecaroljackson's Chocolate Wedding!

I set up an appointment with a florist that I know personally for June 14th, I am so excited and I am really hoping that maybe she will cut me a good deal. I was looking on her site and saw this centerpiece and I think I like this better than the original centerpiece I was looking at. I think we will have about 30 tables to decorate so the cheaper the better! This looked pretty simple to make so if its too expensive for her to do I think I could make it myself.

Ok Big Al's BBQ Catering called me back and quoted me $10.80 per person for 2 meats, 3 vegetables and a drink (tea/lemonade). They are "the best bbq in dallas" according to D magazine, and the guy was really nice when we talked. Tony and I are going to go eat at the restaurant next Saturday. So far I think we are going to have stuffed chicken and beef for the meats, havent really decided on any vegetables. Waitstaff is $75 a person and we will probably need about 3 people to serve. They cut the meat there for you and the vegetables will be buffet style.

Ok I need to start invitation shopping soon and I was wondering how many people are making their own invitations? If you dont make them where are you buying them from? We are inviting a good amount of people to our wedding so I would prefer to have someone else do all the work for me but I am also on a tight budget. I have also heard that people have RSVP websites, has anyone tried that? Anyways thanks for any input!

We also had our cake tasting yesterday with Cristina (Eddie's wife) www.asliceoflifecakes.com, we are having multi-flavor wedding cake. Vanilla Chocolate and Strawberry. Vanilla and Strawberry are going to have chocolate icing and the Chocolate cake is going to have cream cheese icing. The cake is going to be somewhere around 5 tiers. The cake that I actually got pricing for is the really small picture. Imagine an ivory colored cake with brown ribbons and red flowers instead though. If I got the really tall cake it would have chocolate brown ribbons and red roses instead of the other flowers that are on there.

Tony's cake is the last one pictured and instead of square shaped it will be hexagonal and 2 - 3 tiers. His will be chocolate and amaretto flavored with cream cheese and chocolate icing.

I found my photographer yesterday!  His name is Eddie and he has shot one wedding before and has done studio photography.  He is doing our wedding for free to help build his portfolio, which I was nervous about until we met with him yesterday.  He is an amazing photographer and I loved everything he was saying.  The pictures that he has taken before are beautiful and I am very confident in his talent. He will be taking more engagement pictures for us as well as bridal portraits! yay

Ok after talking to my Aunt Maureen and looking at prices I am considering not doing save-the-date magnets/post cards. Basically everyone already knows when my wedding is and it really wont make a difference getting a post card letting them know. I could save at least $150 - $250 if we dont do it..... plus the hassle.

i kinda like the flower in hair idea, not sure if i want to have a veil or not yet.

I love these centerpieces that marta12 posted, i think they would like great and they look really simple! I like the flower petals on the table along with the candles. Definitely must have candles.

I would like this vest because it looks good with a black tux. I would use the tie and not the bow tie.

Ok everyone, I know that my date has changed mulitple times.. really the only reason i had one listed was because it was part of making my profile. So Tony and I have paid our $400 deposit to hold November 8th as our date. It still has to be approved by one or two people, but as long as everything goes smoothly it will stay that way! Sorry for all the confusion

Here are a couple of dresses that I really like, they are from alfred angelo and davids bridal. Dont know the prices, and not worried about that yet! I really want a dress that has a brown or red colored ribbon matching my wedding colors so thats why there are so many dresses with ribbons

I really havent found anything that sounds great to me for guest favors, but i did find these in the oriental trading company catalog. They are really pretty cheap and I think they are cute. I would like to put hershey kisses in the baggies.

These are a couple of cakes that a friend of Tony's family makes. Her website is www.asliceoflifecakes.com. I really like this first one, I would change the colors to match my wedding colors. In case you dont know I am doing a chocolate brown, dark red (burgendy??), and cream. I love the flowers at the top of cakes! I also put the pictures of the cakes that tony thought were cool for his groom cake.

I found a couple of hairstyles I thought were really pretty, let me know if you like them. My hair is about 16 inches long right now, I am considering getting extensions just to make my hair look thicker for my wedding. My hair isnt thin but im not sure it is thick enough to pull off some of the hairstyles in the pictures
