Wedding Flowers
More flower options
I found some more flower options that I liked. I want color in my bouquet but I just can't gauge how much color. Something to talk about with my florist.

Ring bearer and Flower...boy?
I have one nephew who will be 8 in May. Ryan has 3 nephews: 10, 6, and 2 years old (by the time June comes around). We want them all involved so my nephew is the ring bearer, Ryan's eldest nephew is an usher, the youngest is...well, a little too young (and may not be there). Ryan's middle nephew was going to be ring bearer #2, but my FSIL recently saw something on the Style channel where a wedding had a "flower boy." The flower boy walks down the aisle with a satin lined box of petals and throws them down.
I was fine with not having a flower anything and just having the petals all ready down before the ceremony. But my FSIL said that "every bride should have petals thrown for them." I thought about it and said, "You know what? You're right!" So there you go. Anyone else doing something off the beaten path like this? Anyone seen this done before? Instead of a ring bearer pillow, I am ordering this small plate from www.etsy.com. It's only about 3 inches or so in diameter, so it will sit in the palm of the ring bearer's hand. It can turn into a keepsake after the ceremony and you can have a quote, date, or names stamped into it. I thought it was really cool! |

The church
We are getting married just north of Indianapolis in a suburb called Zionsville at Advent Lutheran Church. It's a beautiful church with a great blend of natural light and stained glass. My FH has been a member there for a few years and I just recently became a member. The pastor is great and is very supportive. We've all ready done our marriage classes and now just have to get all the details squared away. I found some photos on the web of people who have been married there so it helps give me inspiration.
I can't believe it is almost here!!! |

Shoes
Okay. Here are the shoes I picked out for the big day. How hot are they? About a 1 out of 10. But!! I wanted comfort and to not break my neck walking down the aisle. My FH is only about 3 inches taller than me so if I wore my normal 2-3 inch heels, he would hate it.
Plus, I can wear these to dance around in all night long. For those of you looking for shoes, try www.endless.com. They have good deals, free shipping, free return 365 days a year. I don't think there is a time limit for returns either! |

Wedding Invitation
RSVP postcard
Here is the RSVP postcard that I made. It was much easier than I thought. I will probably change some of the pictures but I can't find my camera. There were some great pictures on there that I wanted to use. I must find it!!! The center square will hold our monogram but I can't decide if I want first names and the letter of our last name, or first letters of first names and the letter of our last name. Hmmm, decisions.
I'm starting to make appointments to get all the details in order for...everything. I have to pick out flowers, food, the cake, etc. My job makes all this pretty difficult right now but as soon as mid-March hits I am hitting in the ground running. At least I have all my vendors set!! Let the stress begin. ***UPDATE*** I've added a monogram in the middle. I tried different ways but I like this the best. What do you think? |

Wedding Cake
I'm not sure what cake I like. I'm not wanting something too fancy. We're just going to hack into it anyway. But I do want it to be pretty. I've put up some pictures of other cakes, including some from the bakery I'm using.

Honeymoon
Ciao Italia!!!
Well, our honeymoon is decided! We are going to Sicily. My FSIL went there last year for a work conference and loved it!! We saw her pictures and knew that is where we wanted to go. We both wanted to go somewhere we've never been and do something different.
We didn't want to go to a tropical place because my mom lives in Key West, FL; so if we wanted to go to a tropical beach...we'd go there. My FSIL owns her own business and is going through her business' travel agent to get us a good deal. Plus she told us her gift to us will be our plane tickets!! How nice is that?! All we have to pay for is hotel, food, and fun! I'm so excited! Has anyone ever been? Where are other newlyweds going? |

Wedding Flowers
Here are some ideas I like for my bouquet. I like the first one the best, but I know it will be difficult to match blue roses with my cornflower blue color. I dont know. The second picture may work the best though. Which do y'all like?
I'm still up in the air with my bridesmaids bouquets. I know I want different colors in theirs, but I'm not sure what colors. Any good ideas out there, fellow WBC brides? |
