Getting Married SATURDAY!
Ok wow where did the time go? I cannot believe it is so close. Today has been crazy already. I have been cleaning house for guest, getting everything grouped together to pack into my parents suv tonight, getting rehearsal dinner supplies, laundry, and trying to pack. FH parents are getitng here in a few hrs and are going to stop by just to say hey for an hr or so. My parents are getting to town around 6pm to bring dinner and pack up their car with stuff to decorate the venue tomorrow. Then my maid of honor/cousin and her bf are getting in town tonight around midnight to SLEEP before a even crazier day ha.
Ok lets see what ALL I have been doing to make for crazy wedding planning. 1. made bridesmaid bouquets, hand made each flower (13 in each, 5 bridesmaids) 2. My bouquet 3. Hair flowers for me, bridesmaids, flower girl 4. bouts. 5. crosages for My mom, MIL, and GMIL 6. flower girl basket 7. ring bearer pillow 8. bathroom basket 9. all signage 10. programs 11. tears of joy packets 12. reserved seating signs 13. pics for generations table 14. wishing tree 15. candy buffet 16. WROTE the ENTIRE ceremony, Every. Single. Word. 17. wrote vows (FH still needs to do his!) 18. selected and burned cd of ceremony music 19. centerpieces 20. Hanging signs 21. do not disturb sign for hotel 22. feather pens 23. tossing bouquet 24. B and G for our chairs at reception 25. Save the Dates 26. designed invites and printed 27. garter 28. decorated cake cutting knives 29. Ribbon wands (80 of them) I know there is probably more small things I have done, but my head hurts trying to make sure i have everything ha. We have a photographer for 8 hrs, dj for 5 hrs, and great food! My FH is very picky so here is our menu: Fried Chicken Strips with dipping sauces Shaved Ham with assorted rolls Imported cheese trays fruit trays veggie trays loaded mash potatos (what can I say? We live in Georgia, COMFORT FOOD) A friend is making our cake thankfully. we were going to make out own cupcakes with custom wrappers and little signs sticking in them. That was a HUGE project I got to mark off the list. Tomorrow is a busy day. Cancel tanning membership/tan for SHORT time get fingernails/toe nails done get ring cleaned get foundation matched to my new tan skin at mac counter decorate venue check in hotel get ready for rehearsal Rehearsal dinner RELAXING FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MONTHS with 2 close friends then wedding day MADNESS!!! Good luck ladies with all your wedding planning! I will post pics later, sometime, eventually! I am having bfast with the folks and our son Sunday because it is (will be husband at that time) first fathers day!! Then off to Panama City Beach for a WEEK!!! |

Details!
Ok so 8 days away. Can we say STRESS OVERLOAD!!! Plus there has been some family DRAMA (not mine, inlaw related and luckily it doesnt involve me). But there is plenty to do and think about. We are going to get our Marriage Lic. Friday or next week. I still have stuff to get like mothers gifts, gift for my groom, few decor items, and few things for the honeymoon. I have about a billion projects to do or finish.
Ok so this post is a ramble! Ive been soo busy to blog. Plus my new camera isnt uploading pics UGGHH but we have a warrenty on it. So SORRY all these pictures are from my blackberry. I just wanted to show everyone what I have been working on, a small tiny sneak peak of wedding stuff!!! |

Count Down as Begun
25 days to go!!!
Ok I was a very calm and collected bride. I have 25 days left and a list of things that STILL need to get done. I sweat it grows every single day. Im freaking out now. I feel like I cant work on HALF the stuff because I still have stuff to buy!!! My parents are coming to town friday for my final dress fitting and then my hair trial run. Saturday we are going to get EVERYTHING I need to finish EVERYTHING. This is the last time they will be in town before the wedding.
I am feeling the pressure, majorly. PLUS there is other everyday life stuff I am having to do within these 25 days. UGGGHH Anyone else stressing out now as the clock starts to tick????? |

Happy Mother's Day
25th Birthday!!
Today is a VERY special day for me. It is not only my 25th Birthday it is also my first Mother's day. Today is a day to relax and not worry about any of the DIY projects I have going on.
It is also made even more obvious on days like today WHY I am marrying my guy. He woke up with the baby this morning at around 6:30/7am so I could catch a little more sleep. At around 8 he walks in with my FAV Starbucks drink for a little pick me up. Then my man made me breakfast and is doing all the baby taking care of duties today. I get to sit here and surf the web, watch whatever I want, and be lazy. Around 4pm we are going to my fav pizza place for a late lunch with my brother, his brother and his brothers wife. Oh and the GIFTS! I need to mention the gifts. Mother's Day: A beautiful necklace with silver chain and 3 charms. One says "mom", one has an "N" for my son's name, and another is my son's birthstone (luckily for me it is PINK. I dont think he will ever get anything with that on it haha) Birthday: TONS of Nike gear. Track pants, matching jacket, sports bra, head band, visor. 2 underarmor shirts, socks, AND a new nikon colorpix digital camera. I am beyond spoiled what can I say? haha HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you other WBC Mommas out there!! I hope you have the best day :) |

June brides? How is it going?
Ok so it has been awhile since I have posted info about my wedding. I've just been busy with life, baby, everything ha.
I have started my bouquet, it is made with silk flowers. I love it so far! I still have to get the feathers, attach the ribbon on handle, and add a rhinestone brooch. (Ill add a pic soon!!!) My invites are finished and sent! yay. that was a major task and getting that done makes me feel like I have accomplished something. I bought my earrings, bridesmaids bracelets, and I an making my own bracelet. My mom has some vintage pearl necklaces we are going to take apart and use the pearls. Plus she may have some vintage brooches that belonged to family for my bracelet and flowers (my something old!). OO I was also excited to purchase my blue rhinestones for bottom of my shoes that will say "I DO". I still have signage to do, figure out HOW I am going to decorate for the ceremony, crosages, bouts, centerpieces, candy buffet,lots lots more little details...wow yeah 46 days and still TONS to do. How are you other brides doing? Especially you June brides? Do yo feel like you are running out of time and rushed or still feel like you have enough time to do everything? Oh and I had my first dress fitting April 24th and got my shoes. Can you say love at first sight? They look perfect with my dress. Next fitting is on the 28th!!! |

Wedding Fun
I had my shower and bachelorette party last Saturday. Due to crappy planning and weather there wasn't many people. Just the bridesmaids and family. its ok, still fun! Probably toooooo much fun. Took me 2 days to recover haha
not drinking for a year + free drinks being THROWN at me = trouble I had a blast and it was a much needed break from Mommyness. I am still working hard on the wedding. I finally finished the invites and got them all mailed YAY!!! I feel like that was a big accomplishment. Here is a list of only a few of the things I still have left (I dont want to wrote it all, because i will get depressed haha) - finish bridesmaids bouquets (making each flower by hand, 12 in each bouquet) -my bouquet (silk flowers) -finish flower hair clips -flower girl basket -ring b. pillow -centerpieces -ceremony decor -print programs (i have already designed them yay) -crosages -bouts for groomsmen -candy buffet -wishing tree and the list goes on and on and on |

Wedding Shower and Party
The Fling before the Ring
That is what my bachelorette party invite says :) I am so excited! I am getting my wedding shower and party on the same day, make it easier on my 3 out of town bridesmaids. My maid of honor, my cousin, is 8 hrs away and another friend from college is 9hrs away. I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THEM!!! It is going to be a fun day of just getting some much needed me time. I love my son but having a baby and being a stay at home mom is very stressful. The shower will be at one of my friends houses and should be really nice. Then that night we are going to go to a hotel to get ready, head to dinner, then out for drinking and dancing! I also cannot wait to dress up again. I always feel so frumpy. There is no point dressing up to stay home with a baby and get spit up on, hah. My normal day is yoga pants and t shirt or tank top.

Chunky necklace Forever 21 still need shoes :) Bachelcorette Party: 4. Short Black Satin Strapless dress Charlotte Russe 5. Flowery heels from DSW, gift from lovely fiance still haven't decided on jewelry. I also cannot wait for the wedding for many reasons but wearing my dress is def a top reason :) haha |

I have been on here awhile and I never wrote how I met my FH. Before we met we were both in serious long term relationships. I was dating a guy that I had been with for 5 years and he had just gotten out of an 8yr relationship. My ex was living up north, about 16hrs away, working an internship for Men's Health Magazine. I was living in the south with my brother after I got laid off from my Interior Design job. My brother had just gone through a divorce so I figured it would be a good time to come see him. My ex and i got into a fight around July 2008. He is/was a total jerk, so he stopped talking to me. WOuldnt answer calls or call me ever. BUT we were still together (yeah messed up). First of August my brother and I went to Disney World for a week. We both needed the vacation. I was working for my brother at the time and he had hired a new guy from one of the other sites of the company he worked for. When I got back from Disney my first shift was with the new guy, Cole. He was very cute and sweet, only downfall? He was 4 yrs younger than me. At first I was like oh darn. My exbf but bf at the time was only a year younger acted 10yrs younger. Cole and I started talking, we had a lot in common. He was having issues with his ex (she had a new bf but still called him ALL the time, her bf lived 2 hrs away and Cole lived in same town. They still slept together on occassion. It was messy). We worked every shift together, because we always had closing. After a week of seeing eachother evey day at work we decided to go grab a bite to eat after work. It was probably the most fun I had experienced in a LONG time. Our personalities meshed really well and we had the same sense of humor. He always had me laughing. My ex was still not talking to me and I was tired of his crap (it was a very bad relationship. he was emotional abusive the entire 5 yrs. IDK why i stayed with him so long). I started going downtown with Cole on Friday nights and Id stay the night at his place (nothing happened, promise!). After about 3 weeks we had our first kiss. It was amazing. Next day i broke up with the ex. We still had to deal with both of our exs bs and drama for awhile, but our relationship only got stronger.
Feb 13, 2009 we found out we were expecting. I was scared at first but he assured me it would all be ok. He was perfect my entire pregnancy. I couldnt imagine a greater guy, one more loving or caring. August 1st 2009 we went to his house for a visit. He said he made me a dvd, to make me smile. I watched as pictures of us flashed on the screen set to a sweet song. When it ended I saw on the screen WILL YOU MARRY ME?? and Cole got on one knee, holding the ring. I yelled are you serious???? I started to cry. It was the happiest day thus far of my life. October 1st 2009 we welcomed Buddy Nolan (Buddy after Coles dad, he goes by Nolan) into the world. A perfect 7lb 3oz baby boy. We both fell in love instantly and love him more everyday. I am at an amazing part of my life and couldnt be happier. I cannot WAIT to spend the rest of my forever with my 2 guys (and hopefully add a little girl in the mix later down the road) |

So i finished my wedding invite mock up tonight. I am going to add a real label with a monogramed C to the band (not the terrible sketched on that I have now hah). I may also add a feather behind the flower and label. I also am going to line my envelopes with wrapping paper I got from Hobby Lobby.
I created 2 styles of envelopes, one for singles/to the family of and the other for couples, Mr. and Mrs. etc. I will used the return labels I bought awhile back and probably the queen/king stamps for rsvp and invites. Im so excited that I finally have a direction to go. Now just have to play the waiting game for the invites to come back from vistaprint. Sorry for poor pic quality, it was taken with my phone so I could show my mom. |
