I fell inlove with the black and white damask invitations but I couldn't afford to pay $5-$6 per invite, So after doing research, I decided to make my own invites! It's so exciting,

I bought the black pocketfolds and plain white envelopes from cardsandpockets.com $80

Ibought the damask open paper at Michaels for .99 and I bout like 25 of them.

I designed the invites and the inserts and have my brother printed it from his job--thats $0..FREE!

Then I took it to Kinkos and had them cut it and it costs $1.50 per cut, not per paper! That costs me like $20 bucks.

I also put a white ribbon on top of the band, but horizontally.

Now the stamp, it costs 85 cents per invite so I put 2 rose stamps on each!

VOILA!!!! I love my invitations! It took a lot of time and effort but it was all worth it! I got what I wanted for cheap!

Getting married is not really hitting me yet. We went to the Aria for the March 16, 2012 Bridal Spectacular and it kinda gave us an idea of what's out there for us; Venue, photographer, videographer, photobooth, dresses..etc... After going to the show, I knew what I wanted for my wedding:

1. A great photographer
2. A videographer for sure!
3. A photobooth maybe---if the price is right!

I want it all!!!

I did my homework on getting prices on packages for the ceremony and reception. Some places will charge a minimum of $1500 just for a 30 minute ceremony. I originally wanted a church wedding, but with all the classes we had to take, we decided to do a simple ceremony. After all the research, I cannot find any other properties that will beat the deal of an employee discount! That's right, 20 % discount of the whole event! We decided to book our venue for both the ceremony and reception at the Suncoast Hotel in Summerlin.

Our engagement wasn't like the traditional proposal. We've been together for quite a while and after having our daughter in 2009, we decided to get married soon. In 2011, we talked about the wedding more and planned on the month of October since Las Vegas weather is crazy. We both wanted it to be perfect---not too hot and not too cold! I gave birth with our second child in Jan 2012, so we decided to finalize the date to when I can lose weight. 10-27-2012.
