My purchase from the knot never made it....
Ok Brides and Married Ladies I purchased these monogram totes (In Feb) from the knot for my girls...I've been waiting very patiently for them to come in so I can post them. Every time I checked the website for the status it always says in process..So something said to me yesterday call to check on your order. Now I never received anything from the knot saying your order was shipped or nothing. The only thing I noticed was that my card was charged a week ago for the purchase. So I called the knot yesterday to get an update and the girl told me the order was shipped she never said oh it was shipped in March..And delivered March 19th to your house...She just gave me the UPS tracking # so I decided to look up my order today and it said my order was delivered on March 19th...I called the knot back to tell them you guys gave me the wrong # because I never got this package...I only got the garter that was delivered in Feb.. The package was lefted on my porch...So she goes on to say well since you acclaim you didn't get your package we need to do a tracking it will take 8-10 days...Did she just say acclaim? Well I'm telling you I didn't get my package!!! I don't know if I should be made at UPS or the knot....So I'm a little pissed today!!!  |

NewsLetters are they more trouble than they are worth?
Ok Brides When I started out planning my wedding I was so excited to do many different things. One of those things I was excited about was creating our NL ...I'm on my fourth NL to my Bridal party and they are beginning to feel like work/or a task instead of a wonderful way to communicate to my bridal party...Now I'm wondering do they even read them are they just a waste of my time. I've evolved as far as the format. I'm counting down until my last one though!!! I have two more to create... The NL has come in handy with communicating with my mother. If some of you have read my post back in March you would know the history... Any brides out there using a NL and do you see its effectiveness? |

What type of glue or tape!?!?
Ok Ladies I'm going nuts now...Since my last post I decided to be good and work on my list so I won't be last minute with my planning. So I'm done with measuring the folding my packet folds. So I decide to keep the memento going be taping/gluing the bottom flap down. I used tacky tape, the roll on tape and nothing seems to work.. If anyone else is out there doing their own pocket folds please tell me what glue/tape you are using because the one that was recommended is working at all. I picture my guest now opening their invitation and everything falling out of the pocket. That would be so bad!!!! Please help...Thanks |

Five more months!!!
Should I be pulling my hair out? :0)
Everytime I think of the number 5 I want to sing that song 5 $5 footlongs...Dag subways have brainwasted me!!! Anyway Hey Brides and Married Ladies We have 5 months and some weeks until our wedding...Wow time does fly!!! I still have a laundry list of things to do. I'm such a procrastinator!!! Here's my list: *I'm still looking for a florist *I need to finish folding the packet folds (I only finished 50 I need to do 50 more) *I need to print the invitations and inserts and send them to be cut *We haven't picked our menu or cake *I'm still trying to decided on my shoes *Confirm ceremony and reception times *DIY Projects *Order the guys gifts *Complete the girls gifts *Talk to our parents about their attire *Schedule a time for our new engagement photo shoot *Hire a videographer *Looking for the guys attire Wow this list is getting long...I'm sure I'm forgetting something...I need to start setting weekly and monthly goals...Every time someone ask me about the wedding plans I just want to run!!! |

Has anyone dream about their wedding and it was a nightmare?
OK Brides...I had a nightmare this morning about my wedding. I dreamed I was getting married to the finest man on earth (MY FH :)). Ok anyway I dreamed that my bridesmaids wasn't my bridesmaids they were my little sister when they were younger...They didn't have the dresses on that I ordered...My wedding coordinator was sitting in the audience and not doing her job...I had to come out of the dressing room and curse her out in front of my guest...I had on this peptoebizmall (I know I didnt spell that right) pink dress that was too big for me...My sisters were sitting at the altar instead of standing up and they were fighting with each other!!! It was a disaster!!!! I woke up in relief that my wedding day wasn't here yet!! Did you have any wedding nightmares? |

I am I the only bride having problems with her mother! :(
Hey Brides I hope all is well I'm going to get straight to it...Ive been having some serious problems with my mother...Every since I found out I was getting married it has been one negative comment after the next and continued excuses about why she can't do this for me regarding the wedding. I have not asked her for any money. I've asked her things like can you got look at dresses with me etc.. I've gotten so fed up that I don't visit her anymore I rarely call and I don't even mention my wedding plans anymore. She only knows about the wedding plans through the newsletter I send out every two months. She doesn't call me only to ask me to do something. I'm not sure what to do at this point I never pictured my wedding planning phrase would be like this I always felt she would be a part of this... I saw my cousin the other day that is very close to my mother and we talked a bit about the situation. She called me today about ways to solve the problem. Believe me I value her opinion but I'm really getting tired of being the bigger person in every situation! I'm the one that's getting married. Why can she cater to me!!!!!!! I know I sound like a spoiled brat but I'm just tired of being the one who has to do the azz kissing... Is anybody else going through this? If so what are you doing about it. Thank GOD for my FH he keeps me sane!!!! |

How will your bridal party make it to the church and reception?
Ok Brides When I first started out on this wedding planning journey I had ideas about things I wanted to do. Transportation: I planned to have 3 cars two 8 passengers and 1 sedan. A car for the girls 1 for the guys and one for me and FH...Well once we started looking at pricing I had to adjust....Then we ran into the problem of how do the bridal party get home from the reception if everyone is riding in the limos. A few people in the bridal party are married (husband & wife in the bridal party) and that created a problem. So what we are going to do is get one 8 passenger limo for me and the girls to get to the church. The men will drive their own car to the church...After the wedding the girls will drive to the reception with their other half etc...Me & FH will ride in the limo alone... How are you adjusting your transportation issues? |

Dresses have been ordered! I'm nervous...
Ok Brides the girls dresses have been officially ordered today!!! I don't know whether to be happy or nervous...When Barbara from the Bridal Shop called to confirm after my last girl made her deposit a sense of uncertainty came over me. Will the colors look right did I make the right decision etc.... I've posted pic of the dresses.
The first pic this the back of the BM dresses. I choose the colors cloudy (light blue) and espresso. Some girls will have the cloudy up top and down the bottom and espresso in the middle. The other girls will have the opposite... The second dress is my JBM dress her dress will be cloudy with a chocolate belt.. The third pic is the front of the BM dresses The last pic is the MOH dress her dress will be all cloudy... I can't wait to see what they will look like... Their dresses will be in the same time mine comes in around June 20th... I hope this feeling goes away soon!!!! |
