I had originally said that I found my invitations that I liked at David's Bridal. My problem has always been that I seriously LOVE the pocket folds. And the more I see the DIY ones, the more I'm like ok, I WANT to do them!! So here it goes...

Here is a sneak peak. I ordered the samples from Cards and Pockets online. And I put together a kind of rough draft this weekend. I didn't take a picture of whole inside, to incude the RSVP and Additional Info card, but it's there. I don't want to give the whole thing away just yet. The pocket fold is Onyx, it's there metallic black and just the right amount of shimmer. The belly band and the RSVP envelope will be that pink, Watermelon. And I have a matting for the invite, which is silver. All my colors. And for the front on the belly band, our monogram, which I used glitter cardstock for mounting. I did those this weekend.

My FH likes them too, says they fit our theme better than the David's Bridal ones and he knows I was conflicted. So now I'm SOO excited. I'm kinda nervous about printing the invites and other cards, so I MIGHT have cards and pockets print those for me. I've contacted them about getting a sample so I can think about it. It still would be a bit cheaper or about the same if I got all the material and had them print them up. So we will see.

I LOVE it!!! I have seen the templates to do them on Pinterest, but I just don't want to take the time to do like 250 of them! haha! I also found our future invitations on David's Bridal as well! I also love the pocket style, but of course, they are the most expensive ones, so I am opting for a card type (I included the link) and they are on sale as well!.. And I am doing the RSVP's myself with a stamp I ordered to save money. I don't want to spend a lot of money on invites or the RSPV's since most likely, they will just get thrown away anyway.

Ohh yeah, I remember those invites, they are gorgeous!! We liked the "look of love" ones. I just couldn't get the DIY ones out of my head tho, geeesh. And they will end up costing about the same from David's, so hey why not!!

But I hear ya, 250 is a freaking LOT girl, dang!! How many people total are on your guest list. We have about 90-100 (about 60-70 are only going we are planning, thank goodness!!) people on our guest list but I don't need that many invites, as alot are couples/families, etc. I'm thinking maybe 50 total invitations I'll have to make, maybe a few more. But we'll see. The guest like was continuing a grow a little here and there, but I think it's settled down not.

250 is probably max... It will probably be about 200, but still, that is a lot of diy invites nonetheless! I just did my guest list and there are about 88 families, so well over 100 people, if every one comes from my side. We have yet to do his guest list, you know how guys are and put everything off to the last minute! BUT I plan on sitting him down and discussing his.. haha!

haha, yes I know about the guys. I had to make mine a TO DO list which is on the closet door. Cos he forgets and I constantly am telling him to talk to ppl on his side about little things. So he's been good about it.

But w/ Taylor being elsewhere, yeah, I guess the best thing you can do it force it out of him, lol

Love the sparkle girl!!! If it's what you want, then go for it. this does seem to fit better w/ your theme and colors. If it ends up being the same price then it's worth it. What about postage for the invites tho? Won't it be more if you choose the pocket folds? Or did you already include that in the price?

I honestly don't know about postage, but the other invite had a big bow. I actually have a huge roll of stamps so a part of my postage is actually done. I just have to figure out how many more i'd need.
