Ahhhh, I have my dress hanging on my bedroom door right now and I'm absolutely thrilled!!
My mom and I went and did some wedding errands today. We wanted to check out Party Plus Rentals and see what they have to offer and talk to some local florists. There was also a shoe store that was supposed to have a huge selection of dyeable shoes but when we got there, they didn't ANYTHING. UGH! So at the end of the day we thought we'd stop by David's Bridal and just look at their shoe selection. Long story short, we decided to find the dress the that had my fav online and ewww no. LOL. After trying on about 10 more dresses, I pulled on off the clearance rack just for the hell of it. It had the beautiful beading I was looking for, pretty off the shoulder look which I hadn't tried on yet. I was trying all different styles, not trying to find "the dress" right then, but at least find a good direction for when we made the actual appt. I had also wanted my Gram there too. So, I put this last dress on and my Mom and I both smiled, like ohhh this might be "the one". She filled out the train in the back and yeah, I didn't want to take it off. AHHHH!! And with it being SOO HIGHLY on sale w/ an additional $50 unexpected bucks off, I was NOT going to leave without that dress.
So of course we added the veil and all the necessary undergarments. For the veil, the cathedral length one was just perfect w/ the train. And the tiara is just perfect. It is the right size for my "princess" feel. I originally thought an elbow length veil but this one is just so beautiful and the beading is amazing on it. I tried to zoom in so you could see in the pics. Then of course I need the slip and the bra. Pics included. They size you wonderfully for all this david's bridal. My mom ended up knowing one of the ladies there, so we all had a great time!!
I feel such a weight lifted, I had been kind of nervous going and trying them on. But I am thrilled I found one I love. I told my Gram that I would go try it on for them at their house, so they can see it soon too. My mom found her Mother of the Bride dress as well and we got money off that too.
So, ladies, I have attached some pics of all the things I bought today. It definitely makes the day somehow mean more, if that's possible, having found my WEDDING DRESS!! I'm so excited!!
Now, to find my fuchsia shoes...
Are you going to keep it at your house? Are you nervous Shane will go looking @ it?
@Kendra Yeah I have it at home for now and I am SO freakin impatient, I was like looooook, so I gave him a peek. I have absolutely NO self control. But it's not really like he could tell what it's all about in the bag. And that thing is exactly like a princess dress, it's a ball gown. It even has the pin ups on the sides and the back. I love it though. I wasn't planning that long veil but it just looked so pretty and I love the tiara. Adding all those accessories tho, I ended up walking out spending about $1000. But it's still good, cos my overall budget for just my dress was $1500.
Now back to what you were really looking for that day..shoes!!!
