Wedding Dress
I ordered this
Iam so glad that I started planning my wedding so early(for some..). I have ordered a dress I fear wont fit,although, I love it! I have changed my wedding colors 3 times now. Ive also changed the type of food, rethought the venue (not booked yet..) And I have so many ideas floating in my head I cant sleep half the time. Yes, Iam glad I started early.
Ive decieded since we dont have a lot of money, and a big space to fill, Iam doing lots of little touches. iam doing a camera scavnger hunt, a candy buffet, an open bar, a photo table with pics of my fh and i growing up, and than one of us with each of our attendants..(not he and i together, just him with his guys, an dme with my girls indivdually...) and than some of our daughter and the three of us. i also want to do personalized water bottles. im not too sure on this idea yet-we are making so many other things, i dont know if i can handle one more task. we dont have room to store anything....we need to look for our own place-that has me stressing as well. ugh! so, i really like this dress. there was one other i liked more, but they didnt have it in my size at all.well see in a few days if it fits or not. i hope so! the new colors for the wedding are red, black and white. my fh is much better with this color scheme now. still not sure what he an dhis guys are wearing, although i have told him he can wear vans or flipflops ;) |

My mom was walling to buy me a 800-1000 dollar dress. I dont want to spend that much money on something I will only wear once. Id rather get a cheaper dress and spend the other money else where!

From the get go, I wanted my girls to wear black dresses. Its more practical, and they can wear them again. I want my Matron of Honor to wear an orange sash (ill have orange around my dress, and both the groom and the best man will wear orange ties.) then the other girls will wear green sashes. And now that Ive added the "pomagranate" color to the wedding as well, my maid of honor will wear that coloe. (i believe, im not sure on that just yet.)
I just like that red dress, i think its very pretty and would be easy to tie a sash around. Im not going to buy the sashes, Im going to make them. I dont think it will be too difficult, will it? |

Wow. flowers. why is this part so hard? ugh. I know I dont want all roses. They are too expensive and over used (my personal opinion, sorry) You cant do fake roses, cause they just look, well, fake. So thats out of the question. I really love tulips, but they are a flimsy flower and dont stand very well on there own, so I dont know if I would want to do a bouquet out of them, and all the bouquets that Ive seen with tulips have roses or calla lillies with them anyways. So, I thought, why not calla lillies. They are pretty, durable and can be by themselves. Plus, fake ones dont look all that fake because the real ones like fake anyways!
Option one is just beautiful. That deep red/purple color goes with my "throw in color", pomagranate. I really like that deep red color, especially for the fall. It will warm up the space a bit, not that Florida needs any warming up, but its there :) I dont know if I want to take the time to wrap 6 bouquets though, and add the "bling" I want to it. Bling as in our initials, or something for my Grandfather who passed away. Option two is just pretty and fall-y. the colors would have to be changed though. 3, again pretty and fally. option 4 is very simple and elegant. i wouldnt mind wrapping 6 bouquets like this. 5 is the same way. maybe a little deeper color though. I love option 6. I would wrap the stems in a different color though, the pomagranate or the orange of the wedding. and option 7 is a single calla lilly. simple, elegant, easy. any suggestions? |

Idea 1 is kinda cool. Obviously it wouldnt be a number like that, it could be the wedding date, or our initials. I like the Monogram Idea more. This would be a bit earier and less time consuming than carving the pumpkin and could be done 2 days before the wedding where as actually having to take the seeds out and carving from there would have to be done the night before or day of the wedding.
idea 2 is just an initial. i would do the whole monogram. idea 3 is name and date which would take a long time to carve. idea 4 is just basic candles and candy corn, which i like as well. although i want a sweet table, which might just be too much candy. idea 5, again candy corn and flowers. very pretty and simple. i like this one alot. but again, too much candy? idea 6 is just very pretty. but, the tables are long, so this might not work. and the pumpkin cooler was just kind of cool to me.i could do a couple of those and have them near the "head" table, so we dont have to get up so often for beverages! |

Wedding Dress
Dress option 1 is a dress my Matron of Honor bought for her own wedding, but never wore. It is actually a Bridesmaid dressfrom davids bridal. I like this dress alot. First, she is giving it to me-which is nice, secondly its simple. Since our wedding is outdoors in the fall, I think its perfect. The wedding reception and ceremony both are taking place at a local park. The ceremony is in front of the lake there, and the reception is under a large pavilion. I would have to change somethings on dress one:1. my MOH is taller than Iam, the dress is tea length on her, andabout to the ankles on me, so some work would have to be done. that also means that the halter would have to be adjusted. none of the other measurements are all that off. 2.I would want to add an orange sash for an extra little splash of color.
Im just worried it would cost too much to get hemmed and fitted. Is there any way to return the dress for one in my size? dress two is a style that I love. I like the Low/high cut and think that something like that would look good on me, and is also very 'original'. Im not sure Iam crazy about the lacy look though. But I have seen it in a chiffon. Im also very much into the "goddess" look, long and flowy. So thats an option as well. Good thing I have 9 months! |

Hey ladies! Iam super excited to be here, Iam having trouble decieding some little things for the wedding, and kinda need a place to vent and get feee back. My fiance and I are getting married in October. I know we have over 9 months to plan, but I want things to be as perfect as they can be!
Our colors are orange,green and pomegranate. My bridesmaids will wear black with different colored sashes. sorry if i ramble at times, i tend to get stressed! thanks! |
