Delaforce Photography
The next priority for us was to find a photographer. Photos are the #1 big deal for me for my wedding. My dad is a photographer so I have pretty high standards. So I started obsessively searching the internet for photographers, recommendations, ratings, etc. I stumbled upon a photographer named Eric Delaforce. He has an impressive background and portfolio - I fell in love with his pictures! After getting my dads stamp of approval I sent him an email and his wife Adrienne, who works along side of him, immediately wrote me back and we scheduled an interview at this really cute coffee shop called Cafe Intermezzo in downtown Atlanta that I LOVE! I knew the moment I met with them that I wanted them to shoot my wedding. Of course, I had to go through with all the other interviews I had set up because my fiance wanted to make sure we had been thorough in our search - but I knew that I wanted Delaforce. A few weeks later I signed the contract!!! I can not wait to see the beautiful pictures Delaforce Photography takes of our special day.

Wedding Reception
Wedding Location
We will be having our wedding ceremony and reception at the same place - the Carl House in Auburn, GA! It is a really beautiful old plantation style home named after the first residents of a town called Carl, Georgia (now known as Auburn, GA). The ceremony will be held outside in the garden and then everyone will move into the house for the reception. The house has a wonderful bridal suite and grooms suite upstairs (grooms suite complete with a hidden TV so those southern boys don't miss their SEC football!). The house is going to be a perfect location for our special day!

Engagement
We're Engaged!
So .. I know that I'm way behind in starting this blog - so I guess I have some catching up to do! We got engaged on October 13, 2009 and are getting married in May 2010. We are so excited! Having a 7 month engagement has made things a little tricky for us with respect to finding vendors, coming up with colors, getting all the "big things" squared away. The good news is that since we started our planning before "wedding season" began (apparently wedding season begins Jan. 3. Who knew!!) we were able to book some really great vendors. Yay! :-)
