How long did you date before you got engaged? Well... I've been with my future hubby for 10.5 years. We got engaged in 2005 and then re-engaged in 2009. We are truly meant to be for another and I can't wait to be his wife! Did you get the ring you wanted? Sure did. I got the two that I wanted. LOL. I got to pick both of the engagment rings I have. They are both very special to me because they each have a special proposal that went with each of them. Was the proposal a complete surprise? OMG YES! They both were. I never had any inclination that it was going to happen. Especially this past one. He totally suprised me with a candle lit dinner at the house. He put so much thought and effort into it. It was absolutely amazing and a story I can't wait to tell our kids about. Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small? Nope. It's absolutely perfect! Ask me in 5 years. I might just UPGRADE!!! lol j/k Did you cry when he proposed? Almost. I was in complete shock that I couldn't really process any other emotions. Where do you want to go for your honeymoon? Well we actually wanted to go to the Bahamas, but kind of waited to late and the timeshare was booked up. So we're now going to St. Maarten for 7 days which is in the carribean and I can't wait!!! Are you buying his wedding band for him? Yes... and would you believe that I haven't even bought it yet. I can't seem to find the perfect one for him. Have you gone over your original wedding budget? Nope! and I don't want too. We're 9 days til the wedding and everything will be getting paid CASH so that we don't have any wedding debt! Thank you Jesus!!! What day of the year will your wedding be? Saturday, September 12, 2009!!! What kind of weather? End of summer Inside or outside? Outside overlooking the ocean. Church/justice of the peace/other? ordained minister How many people will be there? Well... orginally we had decided on having 50 of our closes family and friends and now its grown to 115 ppl. Hopefully with 9 days til the wedding it won't grow any larger. Time of day? 12 noon Any kind of theme? Absolutely!!! I went with a beach theme and an aqua color with a touch of pink! How many bridesmaids? Who would they be? No bridesmaids. The decision was too hard. Just Me & my FH What kind of cake/what will it look like? Its going to be amazing. I can't even describe it! Where will you have the reception? No formal reception. We're just having an appetizer & cake mini reception. What kind of dress will you have/color/material? All lace, v-neck off the shoulder A-line sparkly dress What kind of flowers in your bouquet? light pink and white roses Kind of engagement ring? 1.5 undless diamond cut white gold ring Kind of wedding bands? diamond eternity bands. How will you wear your hair? half up and wavy curls Who will be important to be there? everyone who's there. Will the reception be big or small? mini What will the groom wear? black tux with white vest and white tie How old will you and the groom be? I'll be 29 & the groom 30! How long will you be engaged before you get married? 8 very fasssssssssst months! Live together before or wait till married? Although we've been livin in sin, I must say I'm glad that we lived together before we got married. Take a long time to plan the wedding or will it be simple? Didn't have much time, but I did it : ) Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding? I've done it all myself! Dream of one day being a wedding planner with my bestest friend Gina : ) Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made? We're going tradional on the vows. But we are doing the sand ceremony as well. |

Okay... It has taken me forever, but I finally found the shoes for my wedding dress. It was very difficult because my dress is not white, its a diamond white lace over a champagne colored satin. The dress is absolutely amazing, but since I couldn't wear white or sliver shoes, trying to find the right shoe with the right height (FH is 6'2) was very difficult, but I finally found them, YAY!!!!

Wedding Favor - Paddle Fan
Okay... I just completed the final draft of my paddle fan. Again, I created this from scratch. I took the design that I have on our wedding invitation and put all four corners together and created the front of the fan that says ENJOY! Then on the back I put a little thank you note thanking all of our guests and parents.
Now that I have it exactly how I want it, I have to start moving and getting all 120 of them made since there's only 16 days left til our wedding day, but with the help of my best friends & family they'll be done by this weekend!!! ::: crossing my fingers ::::: LOL So.... what do you think??? |

Our Wedding Invitation. I made them myself!!!
Okay... Here are a few pics of how my DIY wedding invitations came out. I created them from scratch. I used plain white greeting card, white matte photo paper from Staples, Clip Art, Wedding Font CD, HP home printer, Martha Stewart paper trimmer, Ribbon from Walmart , and Lots "n"Lots of time and love were put into them. Oh and I also stamped the back of each invitation in blue with a saying that said, "Handmade with Love". Bought the stamp & ink from Michaels craft store.
Everyone loved them! I received so many compliments from family and friends saying that if I hadn't mention to them that I made them by hand, they would have totally thought I bought them. What a compliment huh? Well, I hope you ladies like the way they came out as well. Tell me what you think.... |

OMG!!! Lately, I've been so stressed out that I've noticed that I've been eating A LOT MORE and my clothes are starting to feel tighterrrrrrrr. OMG!!! I'm freaking out. I'm getting in married in 52 days and I should be losing weight NOT gaining it!!!

Guest Book & Advice Cards
Okay ladies.... So I saw this post on Marthastewart.com under DIY guest books and I totally fell in love with it and think that it'll go perfectly with my aqua beach wedding.
Instead of signing a guest book, friends and family are invited to write their good wishes for the couple on cards drawn from woven-pandan boxes. The notes are then placed in a large seashell-filled vase tied with a vintage silver ribbon. What do you think? I really like danypink's idea about having the guests sign "real" sea shells instead of cardstock. This way I can display the sea shells in the vase and have it as a part of my home decor. This is going to look absolutely amazing. I found a great deal on scallop sea shells on seashellworld.com. I'm getting 100+ at $0.30 each.
