DIY Wedding
Will you be my...
This past month I finished my "Will you be my...." cards. YEAH ME! The bridesmaids cards were different designs. I got a lot of awwwwwes, some crying, and nine yes. That's right, nine bridesmaids.
Wes has seven attendants. His cards were super funny, which match his guys personalities. they read Knows the engaged couple (check mark) Appreciates a good meal (check mark) Likes FREE beer (check mark) Cleans up pretty good (red "x") (three out of four ain't bad) CONGRATULATIONS... You have just qualified to be my groomsman. Can you do it? I'd sure 'preciate it. Wes I am very proud of my first project..... |

I'm back
I had been away for eight months and could not wait to get back on here. We have changed the theme, color, receptions site, and ceremony site completely. It was a mutual decision. I think I was so caught up in planing that I forgot to include Wes. We changed our colors/theme to a peacock color scheme. We will be using Moss Green, Cornflower Blue, accent colors and a hint of damask. Damask was the compromise. I love Green and he loves blue. The ceremony and reception site are a whole other story.

My Dress
So here is the story behind the dress.... I am a big bargin shopper when it comes to "big" purchase items. I tend to resort to Craigslist or Ebay. One day while on Craigslist I spot this dress. The seller did not list a price just "Best Offer", style #, and Color. So, I look it up on Casablanca Bridal and it retailed for $699.00. I became a little dicouraged about the price. But, I followed my gut and called her. We set up a time to meet. I try on the dress... a little small in the hip "ghetto booty" but bigger in the bust...two things that can be fixed. I finally ask the big question of how much. Her reply "How much you got?" I literally had $25 in my pocket at the time. She said, "It's yours". Turns out that her husband and her had been split for two months (married only two months) and she wanted nothing to do with him or remind her of him. Lucky me, walked away with a beautiful dress and skirt for $25. I absolutely love it.

Wedding Colors
I am so excited. I have been puttting colors together and have come up with our wedding colors. Damask (b/ivory), deep red, fuschia, and, kiwi. The combo sounds crazy but I think it will come together perfect.

Hello Brides!!!
Today I have been surfing the web for ideas. I want a color that coordinates with Red and Champagne. I am trying to stay away from black as much as possible but it looks like that is the rate I am going. If anyone has ANY ideas let me know.
