Wedding Photography
So I went from posting a whole lot to getting married and never really getting a chance to post the actual wedding photos. There's TONS of them, which I personally am happy about. Time to get them printed and start making scrapbooks. I was going to go through My Publisher but with over 1,000 photos that may get expensive.
There's tons more photos, unfortunately I have to leave now. For more pictures go to my photobucket page... http://s1018.photobucket.com/albums/af304/MrsKennedy09/Wedding%20Pictures%20by%20First%20Photographer/ |

What Color Ribbon...
Okay, so my bouquet will have red roses and red peonies with red ostrich feathers on the side. The stems will be wrapped with ribbon and will have my grandmothers broach along with two crystal bands wrapped around (like the 1st picture).
I am trying to decide if the ribbon should be peacock blue or champagne like the 1st picture. I would have white as an option but I don't want it to blend into my dress too much. My bridesmaids will be wearing black dresses with red heels. The flower girl will be wearing a creamy white dress with red accents and red flats. The ring bearer and groomsmen will be wearing black tux's with red ties and black shoes. My dress is white and my veil is white. The only blue accents in the ceremony would be the water filled vases with the floating candles, the water will be dyed blue. Oh, and the guest book cards will have blue accents. |

Ask a Question
I Need Something Blue...
I am trying to pack so that I can move all of my sons stuff and my stuff into Mr. Kennedy's house and I am also trying to finish up any unfinished wedding projects (there are more than I would like to admit).
As I was putting all of my accessories together, I was trying to think of my "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue" and so far all I have is this... Old - Grandma's (moms mom) antique broach New - My red heels Borrowed - Grandma's (moms mom) earrings Blue - ? I have NOTHING blue. I guess I wasn't really worried about it because up until recently the ribbon around my bouquet was going to be blue. My flowers are red The ribbon around the bouquet will be champagne My garter is black My jewelry is diamonds & pearls My shoes are red Does anyone have any suggestions for adding blue? |

Rehearsal
Purchased: My Rehearsal Dress
Today after church my mom and I went to run a few wedding errands. While we were out we stopped by Kohls to try and see if they had any shoes for her to wear with her dress. Although we never successfully found any shoes I did find a dress to wear to the rehearsal that I love AND it was on sale! It's purple which is strange for me because other than this dress I only have one purple clothing item... a purple shirt Mr. Kennedy bought me. I have never really been a purple fan, I wore it for him but lately I have been drawn to purple jewelry, dresses, shirts, house decor, etc.
Anyway, here's the dress. I bought a pair of purple chandelier earrings over a year ago that I have never worn because I didn't have anything to wear them with. I automatically thought of them after I purchased this dress and started planning out my accessories. It is A LOT cuter in person. I like that it's casual though because the rehearsal is going to be very casual and I don't want to be to dressed up. 12 more days until the big day!!! |

Ask a Question
Maid of Honor and now... Matron of Honor?
Okay, originally we had an even number of bridesmaids to groomsmen but one of his opted out leaving us with 1 MoH, 2 Best Man, 3 bridesmaids and 2 groomsmen. I "geniously" thought of adding another bridesmaid to "even it up", who was actually someone I had already been wanting to add anyway.
So, the way it would work would be the MoH and Best man walk together, then 2 bridesmaids for each groomsman. Lately I have been realizing that 1 of my bridesmaids is as involved (maybe a little less, but almost equally) as my maid of honor and the others are kind of like, "I'll be there on the big day". I was thinking of asking her if she would be my Matron of Honor to show my thanks. Anyway, how would that work in means of walking down the aisle? I am also a little worried that my maid of honor would be offended... |

Wedding Cake
THE Cake
Well, after changing my mind first from having different styles to having one style incorporated into all of the single cakes and then on the certain style, I finally have found "the one".
He will like it because of the simplicity and the color scheme, I like it because it's just gorgeous (in my opinion). To me, it comes across as casual/simple yet classy/elegant. It won't be a stacked/tiered cake, it will be different round cakes decorated but with this style in mind. There will be one difference. The decor on the sides will be either just smooth fondant or textured buttercream. Now... where do I buy the round brown things? |

Ask a Question
Which Cake?
I have decided to stay with the original idea to have different cakes in different flavors but I am changing a few things.
1. Each cake will be a single tier instead of 2 tiers 2. They will have the same design, causing it to look like they're all one cake but placed on different platters instead of stacked ontop of each other. Now, which style should we go with? Pic 1 - I love the print and the white flower, but will it be too understated since they won't be stacked ontop of each other? Pic 2 - Since the whole theme is "vintage glam", emphasizing the "glam" part, maybe I should do something like this but with a single large red peony instead of white roses? Pic 3 - SOMEWHAT the same idea as #2 but using ribbon and multiple flowers. Maybe black or blue ribbon with red peonies? I don't know. Pic 4 - This is NOT what my cake will look like, I just love the peony Pic 5 - I like how the fabric that the cake is sitting on is draped. I am thinking of doing this at varrying heights for each single cake. Most likely not chocolate brown though. Anyway, what do you think? I am leaning towards #2 & #3. |

Invitaton Picture...
I am trying my HARDEST to get these out by Friday. I have the sleeves made, purchased the envelopes, stamped all of the envelopes, bought a caligraphy pen so that I can write the addresses on the envelopes and am now trying to print the inserts.
What do you think of this one? I found the graphic from a fellow WBC bride. I REALLY do need to keep up with who I borrow things from... if it was you, I apologize. Just let me know and I will give you the credit you deserve! |

Engagement Pictures
Today we went downtown with my brother and finally took our engagement photos. He was kind enough to take them for us.
I personally love them. There were too many moments where neither one of them would stop making me laugh but it was definitely a great day!!! Pictures 1-5 are the most sentimental. We took them at the place where we met downtown... the exact spot where he jumped out infront of me after I didn't notice him walking next to me and said something along the lines of, "hey, don't I know you". I guess you could say that moment was the beginning of the rest of our lives. We had met a year previous to that moment, almost to the day, but we were both at different paths in our lives... though we knew there was something special about the other person. Anyway, here are the pictures... unedited. The only thing I would change would be the way my dress fits my body. It's tights right under the bust, but then it's kind of loose creating a bubble effect and making it look like I have a tummy! Other than that, I love the pictures! |
