200 days and counting.... Wow, it's hard to believe. It's been a rough few weeks and hubby's bes...
Today Larry and I went out for a day of shopping! It turned into a hunt for wedding planning items! :)
In my opinion, it is NEVER too early to start buying things for your wedding. With my experience going into wedding planning, there are WAY too many last minute brides out there, and I am not going to be one of them!
I dont remember who it was, but there was a bride on here who posted that she found some mindy weiss (my idol!!!) for Two's Company items at T.J. Maxx, and I LOVE that colection!!! So today I stopped at two of my local TJ's and we hunted for some stuff. I didnt find any of the planning essentials that I wanted, but we did find her playing cards, aka "The game of love" and the "Love is in the air" note cube. Unfortunately, they were BOTH missing the writing utensils that were supposed to come with them (and I really wanted that pen!) but for 3 dollars a pop, a girl can't complain! Oh and I also posted a couple pictures of my bag from mindy's line, which is my favorite "brideware" item that I have!
We also found some great Tiffany blue dishes at dollar tree!!! they are nearly a perfect match to my tiffany box, and at a dollar a piece you cant beat it! I got two bowls and four plates for now. I think I am going to use them on one of the buffet tables as serve ware.
Recently I also bought some GREAT nail polish that is Tiffany blue (ok, so its like a shade darker, but you cant tell too much!) It is even called "for audrey". It is made by china glaze. You can find it easily online, but I went on the hunt and found it in the corner of my local Sally's Beauty Supply store! I am pretty sure it was like $5. Not too bad!!! :)
OHHH and, I also found a clutch and a journal that are tiffany blue to keep with me on all my vendor and venue errands. A well prepared bride always needs to have somewhere to jot down details, and it doesn't hurt to coordinate all your wedding planning essentials closely with your theme. It keeps you in "the mood", at least it keeps my blood flowing with Tiffany blue!
