This is futuremrsmather's Orange Wedding!

So I am very new to this blogging thing but I love reading other people's blogs so I thought, hey why not try it out. I got engaged Oct.19th this past year and our date is set for Oct. 10th, 2009. I jumped right into planning our wedding and decided to get a head start on it. So far so good! We have our hall booked for the reception. We booked the Current River Community Centre here in Thunder Bay for the reception. It is a beautiful hall!

I have my dress picked out and I am going next weekend to put half down so they can get it ordered for me. I chose a Maggie Sottero dress. The Michelle dress in Light Gold! I think it will look great with my bridesmaids in Burnt Orange (Alfred Angelo dresses).

My bridesmaids are quite excited to get the choice of top for their dresses. I decided to go with the Alfred Angelo seperates for them. They will all get the same skirt but choose what top they prefer. I want them to feel comfortable so I let them choose! Of course they will all be in the same colour.

I have the DJ booked also. We chose Stellar Music Productions! They seem like fun and we really want to have a blast at our reception! We are in the process of finding a location for our ceremony and an officiant to do the service. We are currently REALLY liking the grounds in front of the Richmond Inn and Spa. It is this BEAUTIFUL mansion they have turned into a beautiful B&B and day spa. And because we are getting married in the fall we wanted to get married outside somewhere with all the beautiful fall colours! It would be awesome to do it out there. We are hoping it will work out for us. We think we are also going to book a suite there for the night of our wedding!

There is so much I have planned too! Our guest list is made, I have started designing save the date cards and our invitations (I am a graphic designer so I am doing them ourselves). We have a friend who is a photographer who we are hoping will make the trip up fro London to do our wedding. I have flowers picked out and accent colours and of course my Mom is doing my wedding cake! She does amazing cakes! I have table settings and started collecting centrepieces! I sell Partylite so it was easy for me to choose what Ia m using to help decorate! Lots of candles.

So I am well on my way with the planning. I think I am going to enjoy the holidays with Cary and our daughter Sophie (who is our flower girl of course) and then in the New Year I will get back to planning the wedding!
