i have looked far and wide!! i guess purple and gold are not as common as i thought!!

It took FOREVER to get them to go get fitted!!

The groomsmen are apart of my fiance's fraternity so he didn't have the heart to ride them about getting fitted.

I called and left a message on thier phones and said eveyday that they procrastinate, the cost goes up thats all it took!!:)

I first off, I want to thank my wedding planner, without her i would be in stress management classes!!

I had a meeting with my planner and she found a great discount on flowers for reception...SAM'S CLUB!!!

sam's wholsale sales bulk flowers for alot cheaper than i have seen anywhere else. I am buying 150 stems of purple carnations each with 3 buds on them for 55.00, and 35 stems of white callalilies with 2 buds on each stem for 61.40; orderd at least a week in advance.

Okay, so this is my second time trying to load pics of me in my dress on here...each picture is like 1000kb and it is taking a long time.

I tried on my dress for the first time on friday may 2, 2008 and i was so excited!! I am not even ashamed to say that i didn't eat much that day just to make extra sure i fit into my dress (not that i starve myself) :<>

so the dress in champagne with gold weaving and lots of beading on the bodice and the train.

*i cut off my head in a pic because i was in the middle of talking when they took the picture. the seamstress designed a nice bustle that i have a pic of.

i had pic of it before but it was a bad pic so i took it off.

everything is coming together...i am getting really excited!!!

i know that these are not good pictures; but i promise that after the wedding i will have GREAT pictures up for you all to see.

i have added some music that i want at the reception and the cermony..they are all mixed up.

i want to get you bride's opinion on this matter...

Are you wearing a veil the WHOLE wedding? I want to wear a veil, but my hair style(undecided) is going to be so nice that i want everyone to see it(not a diva). Is it okay to wear it to the ceremony and not the reception?

i thought i could do this without one...but it seems that i can't.

I have all of the big peices like venue, ceremony site, cake, photographer,flowers, and some decorations...just can't get it together..i thought it was going to be easy; but its 88 days until the wedding and i haven't gotten my music on a CD, worked out a table theme for the reception for the head table( as well as all other tables) haven't gotten a limo, some groomsmen still haven't gotten their tux and my man is too soft to harrass them(so i am), don't know if paren'ts inlaw are doing a rehearsal dinner(probably my fiance and me), the bridesmaids dress are unfinished and i still have one that has not been fitted, the list goes on...

anybody else stressed?

so i was wondering whether you guys are going on a honeymoon right after the wedding or are you guys waiting...a week, two weeks, month, never?

also, what are you guys wearing? i thought about getting t-shirts that say newlyweds..but he doesn't want to wear it lol!

the best weay to buy bulk for cheap is to shop on ebay!!

i have bought 100 floating candles(50.00); purple and gold table linens(60.00); personalized unity candle and champagne flute set(35.00); 200 martini glasses(100.00); 500 Mosiac tiles purple and gold(60.00) and vase illuminators a set of 35(70.00).

I went to DOLLAR TREE and bought 55 TRUMPET VASES 91/2" FOR 56.00!!!

Gabby is my neice; Terrin is my maid of honor; Erica is another one of my friends; Stella is my cousin.

I recently went to an Indian jewelry store and found a wide range of bridal jewelry including earings, necklace,bracelets for about 50.00!!

i would suggest that if you want dramatic beautiful jewelry this is a way to go!!

you can get lots of colored diamonds..pink, purple, green, red, teal, blues... and they look very elegant!!

Last saturday i sent out an email to all of my bridemaids about the shoes i wanted them to wear. I had picked out 4 shoes for them to pick from. The shoes range from 50.00 to 60.00 dollars. On monday i got an email from one of their mothers saying that i did not have a problem spending all of their money and that the shoes were all ugly. She also said that i should be paying for all of the bridesmaids shoes.
the bridesmaids are paying 100.00 dollars for their dress, and possibly 50 to 60 for their shoes. Is this too much?

These are not the color of my flowers but this is the design of them.

i my theme for this wedding is Royal African theme. The colors are Royal purple, gold, and creme; I wanted an african theme as well as a royal palace theme so i kind of combined them!!

I tried on at least 50 dresses and narrowed it down to 5. The day after thanksgiving, My mom and dad went to see the dresses that i had it narrowed down too. And i just loved this one over all of them so we ordered it!!

04/16/08 update: MY DRESS HAS COME IN!!! i ordered it in November and it is ready...my dad is going to pay the rest of it off and hopefully i will have some pics up in about TWO WEEKS!!

My fiance is so excited to be going to Ghana. For all of you who don't know, Ghana is located in West Africa on the coast line. I can't waite to go back, its such a beautiful place.

This is not the actual dress but this is the design, i have imported the fabric from Ghana, Africa!!!

The fabric is in a elegant, rich purple with gold accents!!
