This is futuremrspardue's Blue Wedding!

My dad is great! He has frequent flyer miles and hotel points and booked our flights and hotel rooms for us in Boston, NY City and for my friends wedding! We are super excited and lucky. We have tickets to the RedSox game on the Tuesday while we are there. Which is more for him than me but that was the only thing he wants to do while we are there! Super excited!

My mom and I have made my bridal portrait bouquet and the flowers to tie to the gazebo for the ceremony. I have also made my hair comb and some beaded bobby pins for my hair and picked out my hair style for the wedding. I have made my bridesmaids jewelry, ordered my shoes which are being dyed to match my bridesmaids dresses. We have our centerpieces for the reception. We are doing floating candles in a bowl with glass rocks which are various shades of blue. It creates a pretty design on the table from the candle light and surrounding the centerpiece we are going to have personalized hershey kisses for our favors/ decorations. I also found our invites on sale at Target for $6.99 for 50 invites/envelopes and 50 rsvp cards/envelopes and found a great local printer that printed them for 10 cents a page. 100 invitations for less that 30 bucks! Exciting.

So we booked our ceremony spot but we weren't able to get the week we wanted. We planned to get married May 16th so that we could take our honeymoon the following week and then go to our friends wedding in NY while we were up there honeymooning the following weekend. So is it weird to take our honeymoon a few weeks late? Also when should we send out our invites for a May 2 wedding and when do we need to request them back by? Thanks!

This is where we have decided to have the ceremony. These are the only pics I can find of it online. But we just love how simple and pretty it is. And it is free.

These are some of the ideas I am having for the wedding. We are thinking classy but casual and fun. I love the dandelion rings. It is like your wish has come true and a reminder of it to symbolize your love! I was originally going to do just watermelon colored sashes but Sean thinks the boys wouldn't be down to match so he likes the blue. I may just do blue or mix it up for the girls sashes. I am thinking gerber daisies for the bridesmaid and maybe having each of them hold a particular color and my bouquet made from all the colors they are holding. Just some things I found on etsy that I like. we are thinking maybe love birds as the theme. Sean has a tattoo of 2 love birds that I love and would like to have on the napkins but that may be a bit pricy but that is what the silly cake topper is about.
