Ohhh I miss this site.
I'm trying to get into my new blog, I've been better lately. If you want to follow it, you can read it at www.chanceamypearce.blogspot.com I sincerely suggest looking at my blog list at the bottom of the page. Those are all the blogs that that I loooove looking at. I know all of you are in the wedding mode right now but when your wedding day comes and goes and you get that crazy itch to do something DIY, these wonderful blogs will help you through :) We bought a house two months ago! Kind of a big deal. I'm excited. We had been looking since March. We closed August 27th. Yay! We are still settling in. We did so much in the 1st week that we are still tired from it. I love my new house. It's perfect for our first. It's 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. And it has a basement with one big tv room and then two other rooms so I have a great craft room, woo I love it. It's so perfect for us right now. We love it! |

Anniversary
1 whole year already?!
I thought I'd post an anniversary post! Hope that everyone is happily still planning....I see some brides that I used to follow have their big days really soon! I miss wedding planning sometimes....in fact I do wish I could do it again. Though if you had asked me that right around the wedding I would have laughed at the thought. :)
I can't believe it's been a year thought at the same time, it feels like a year. I got a new job, we've been house hunting for almost 4 months now, that's going really slow, we hope to find something soon. Other than that things are about the same. I've been making up the wedding DIY projects with projects around the house, though I don't do them as much as I'd like. But I thought I'd share some things that I've made, at least the things that you might like! Happy planning :) We're off to Atlantic City for two days just to have a little time away to celebrate our anniversary! Can't wait! -Amy |

Name Changing Tips!
Because I kept getting different info!
I thought I'd share the headache of changing my name so that it might help some of you do it! People kept telling me different things and even though what I needed to do may be different than what you need to do depending on where you live I thought I'd share anyway so you can check on some things!
First I was told I would get my license in the mail after the wedding. I still had the certificate that was signed on my wedding day but I was assuming I needed something else to change my name....wrong. My license didn't get mailed, they don't mail it, all you get is typed up copies of the certificate, it's the same thing, it's not like you get two different types of things...if you want the typed up copies you can request it through the mail or go to the marriage license office to get them. I finally got up there still thinking I needed these copies to change everything, so I paid $20 for 4 copies, turns out everywhere I went, they would have just taken the hand signed certificate. And they didn't need to take it, just see it. So now I have my marriage certificate and 4 typed up copies. I waited at the DMV to change my license, turns out I had to go to Social Security first and change my name there. After I went to Social Security then I had to wait 72 hours to go back to the dmv so that they would have the change in their system before I could change my drivers license. I went out on a limb because I had time and went to the dmv 48 hours later and luckily they had me in the system and I was able to change my license. My new social security card came really quickly. The bank was easy, although I use bank of america and I'm not sure if it's the same for all banks but I was able to change my checking, savings cards and my checks at the bank. But I still have to call my BOA credit card to change my name. And work was pretty easy too. So here's a break down of what I actually needed everywhere Social Security: Marriage certificate, old social security card, printed out copy of the application online, it's only one page. you can also get it at the social security office DMV: After waiting 72 hours from SS office.....I needed my drivers license and marriage certificate Bank: Drivers license and marriage certificate Work: Copy of reciept from social security office basically just showing I put a request into social security for a name change, copy of marriage license And it's all done :) I'm officially Amy Pearce and it's exciting to see it on everything! Social security was free, license was $30, and the bank was free too. Hope this helps some people! * remember it may be different for your area |

Since I couldn't post it before
I wish I had picture of them all but I'll at least tell you all of what we got
My dad: a vertical 3 photo frame with a silver plaque engraved with our wedding date from things remembered. And the book "12 ways you made a difference" off of jennibick.com His mom: We also got her the same frame. And I got a silk handkerchief with a poem printed on it from the etsy shop 'Artful beginnings'......they were great and quick and you pick the colors, the font and all the words. I picked a dark pink border and a light pink center with dark pink writing Groomsmen: Steins with their names engraved from things remembered Bridesmaids: old navy tote bags (and bought bridesmaid ribbon from michaels and tied it around and not in the picture I tied around a little black tag with pink sparkly stickers with their initials), pink satin hangers (I bought them from ross and then retied black and white ribbon on them), damask photo albums from target (had to go to like two targets to get all 5), one lotion and spray each from victoria's secret Flower girl/ring bearer: Barbie bride coloring books, a cute little purse from toys r us and a disney princess necklace and bracelet set |

  our lovely cake nail appt with some of the girls the day before all of the girls at the rehearsal minus my sister kara (my MOH) and me all of the girls! all of the girls at the rehearsal dinner, I should of got a better picture of this room that my MIL did, I got to sleep in it the night before the wedding....all you damask lovers would LOVE this room smooch! me & the girls chance & the guys all of the wedding party, the little girls were so cute, so fun and so well behaved ceremony set up, I had wanted satin sashes and non striped chair covers, but oh well it still looks good tears of joy packets and my ceremony program frame to the left, instead of doing programs I just printed all the bridal party info and stuff and put it in a frame the little ones, their bows got a little messed up but they were super adorable so excited! instead of doing place cards I did a seating chart where you could come and find your name picture table, the frame to the right is a digital frame and my snapfish book is in the middle some of the reception set up! another table set up our table our table again cake table favor first dance chance's boutonniere on the left and the groomsmen boutonniere on the right the bed at the hotel! my car our rings us! I love writing in the sand smooching under the moongate in bermuda, it's good luck for honeymooners in bermuda in front of the cruise ship helmet diving! So fun!                                  |

We should get our professional pictures some time next week.....so I stole a few pics from family and friends to show you.....Now that I'm seeing all the pics I hate my make up!!!! haha it felt too dark but oh well.
Rehearsal was so fun! It went really quick and then we went back to his moms for dinner and had macaroni grill catered, it was sooooooo GOOOD!! She also made appetizers and desserts, and it was just fun for everyone to be there and we just had a great, great time. It was much more casual than a dinner out would have been, I'm so so glad we got to do it that way. It was perfect. Wedding day went really well, really fast. I was so tired, I ate and everything but I was just soooooooooooooo drained, if I could go back I probably would have tried out some energy pills or something. The ceremony was short and sweet which he just loved. All the decorations turned out mostly the way I wanted, music was perfect...We got good enough weather to go outside and take pictures though a massive daddy long leg got caught on my dress twice, ahhhh, haha....food was so good, I had a hard time with my dress, my bustle didn't feel right and my dress was bothering me most of the night. But it was so nice to see everyone and I had such a good time. Everyone seemed happy and it was just a lovely night! Though I gotta say, with wedding you'll really find out who is going to disappoint you and who really is going to be there for you. When we went up to the hotel that night we got a fruit and cheese tray delivered, that was yummy and got up early the next morning because we were leaving for our cruise in the early afternoon. We got up to find our cars thoroughly decorated....consider this if you are in a time crunch, apparently people love to do this. And it would have been fine and fun but some people unfortunately drew some really inappropriate and nasty stuff that we were really not too happy about. When we got back to the house we got to sit for a minute then realized we needed to be on the ship just a little earlier than we thought so we were rushing around trying to leave and finish everything and it was about an hour before that I noticed our dog Tonka was acting funny and I knew something wasn't right.....all of a sudden he started vomiting everywhere then he was wobbling and just fell over! He was breathing really heavy and his tongue was hanging out and omg it was awful, chance was on the ground with him and I was shaking so bad I could barely dial the number to the emergency vet. But I still had packing to do!! Thank GOD his mom, sister, dad and my dad and his best man were all there to help, I don't know what we would have done, it was absolutely awful! I had to finish packing while chance is laying on the floor with the dog and as my dad took us to the port to get on the ship, his mom was taking tonka to the emergency vet. Turns out they think maaaybe he accidently ate a bug or something and he was having some sort of allergic reaction and ended up being okay....but that was the worst, worst day. Cruise was wonderful, bermuda was wonderful, we loved it so much!!!! We wish we had one more full day....we bought artwork on our honeymoon like we wanted and some really nice perfume. We went helmet diving, SOOO fun! It was just a nice nice vacation, we really enjoyed ourselves. |

Omg omg I'm getting married tomorrow!!!!!
So excited!!!!!!!!!!!
I hate WBC's countdown....it's so confusing when it says it's today when it's tomorrow! haha but anyhoo it's TOMORROW! I'm so so soooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited! I have a whole lot to do today! And i've been spending my week confirming things with all the vendors, packing for our cruise, etc. etc. I had off work yesterday so that was good. Today I need to finish up my thank you notes, I've only written TWO! ahhhh and then clean up the house because I'm staying at his moms tonight! A couple of my bridesmaids and me are going to get our nails done today at 1:30 then the rehearsal is at 5:45 (or 6 but I want to make sure people aren't late) and then dinner at his mom's afterwards! She is making some appetizers and desserts and then we are getting macaroni grill catered! So excited and excited that tonight EVERYONE from the bridal party will be there......not everyone was there at the shower or the bachelorette party. YAAAAAAY And my sister is on her way today, I can't wait for tonight and tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It looks like my professional pics won't be back for two weeks but when I'm back on the 19th I'll try to get on and post any pics that I do have! CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay I have a lot to do today, good luck to all the other July 11th brides!!! I can not BELIEVE it's already here!!! |

Bachelorette Party was last night!
Soooo fun
We went on a dinner cruise in the inner harbor in baltimore! We had so fun, the food was great, it was SUCH a nice night out, I have 5 of my favorite people and I even danced a little! It really was a super fantastic night! I had so much fun! :)
My MOH got a sash which I was SO excited for because I reeeally wanted a sash but she got one that says Future Mrs Pearce! woo hoo! It was so great! The manager also gave us complimentary champagne, I didn't really like it but it was still fun and exciting! This time next saturday I'll be waking up on my wedding day! YAY! Happy 4th everyone! |

Single digits!!
It's sooo close
Okay we all know the WBC countdown is not what you would normally count down! technically I would say it's 9 days today not 8. I'm soooo excited!!!!!!!!!!
I finished my favors last night....sort of......I went to his mom's house and she helped me finish the ones that needed to be dipped, then we bagged them and tied the ribbon around them and she was so helpful! It was so great because I've done mostly everything by myself for the wedding, so it was nice to do it with someone else! And when I got home I finished the rest of the favor tags determined on being done! So I was finished alllllll favors and I was so excited but I wanted to count them to make sure I have enough, well I have enough....exactly enough!! Ugh so I really should make 5-10 more JUST in case, because I literally have no wiggle room if even one breaks. So I need to go out and get more chocolate, I think I have enough of everything else, and I'll only need one bag of chocolate so I just gotta do what I gotta do. So I'm doing good, I already have things checked off my list from my last update a few days ago.....right now I need to start getting ready for the honeymoon (i,e. calling our credit card companies to tell them we may use it in bermuda so they don't stop use on it, make a list of stuff to pack, etc.) I still need to find a nail salon, I'm majorly procrastinating here....I need to make 7 appointments for next friday. Music is finalized, just need to submit the online planner. Finally got every single guest name yesterday, spelling and confirmation of every guest so I finished the seating charts for the reception, I just want to be sure of the table #'s of everyone before I print Chance's mom and I talked about the rehearsal dinner last night, I'm so excited about it! We are getting macaroni grill at her house, it'll be casual and fun for everyone! this time in two weeks I'll be in bermuda :) |

Some set up pictures
I can't believe it's so close that I finally can take all of these!! Woo hoo I have so little to do! :)
The first picture is what the seating chart table will look like.....I decided not to do place card since people throw them away and then I'll be able to use these frames later....I bought them at the dollar store for $4 and I painted them black (they were gold) then I bought little stands since they are only hanging frames and didn't have anything and once I have everything typed up they will go in. I bought two little votive holders from the dollar store, I just need candles.....so the frames, holders and votive holders in total cost me $17....can't beat that :) And I bought some fake rose petals here but we are getting actual rose petals for the table The second picture is the ceremony table....I have two frames to the left with our pictures, the middle trays are the tears of joy for the ceremony in my, then to the right is another one of the frames from the previous picture and instead of doing programs I made a frame with the date, time, reverend, parents and bridal party's names The third picture will go to the right of our "guest book" table, which I already posted a picture of a while back.....but the two little vases are filled with my matchbook mints I made, the middle thing I bought at homegoods.....I had an extra damask square because we have one less table than we started with....I think it looks good.....then a frame of us, my digital frame that I've already loaded with pictures and music....and my free snapfish picture book for people to look through The fourth picture I have posted previously but I thought I'd post it again to show you what we are doing instead of a guest book :) I have retyped the poem and reframed it since I took this. SO excited!!! I can offically say I'm getting married next weekend :) And my work bridal shower is wednesday, I can't wait! ***This is of course not the table all this will be on, it's just my dining room table :) |
