After quite a few disappointments in venues because the price was just way out of our budget, was too small, too big, too far, too ugly....etc! I think we picked the place. I called the HILTON of all places yesterday in Columbia and found out the price and I just kept waiting for some catch! I probably asked the woman 10 times if there was any additional fee's or anything! I ran there last night because she said she could give me a tour on Wednesday evenings. Chance couldn't come because he was still at work and next Wednesday didn't work for me. I got there and I was just so excited!!! The price is right and it includes everything....fruit,cheese,veggie,cracker display, three butlered hordeourves (sp?), full open bar, buffet style with two entrees, a carving station, more fruit, rolls, salad, a veggie and a starch. It also includes the cake and a champagne toast which they are letting me substitute for sparkling cider as I don't really drink much....and TWO complimentary rooms, one large master King suite which she took me to see last night and another regular room to put gifts in or where the guys can get ready. My girls and I can have the master king suite to get ready and then clean it up and Chance and I can have it that evening! :) We also get the other room all evening!
And on Wednesday nights they do this free tasting thing and they have a chef cook pasta right in front of you, they had beer, wine, soda...all free....and they had tiramusu but I unfortunately was so caught up I didn't even try, but the pasta was soo good!
SO in TWO weeks I'm brining Chance, my dad and Chance's mom back to see it *yay more free food!* to see what they think but I know they'll love it! They are holding the date for me and we should be putting a deposit down when we gooooo!
If you can't tell....I AM SO EXCITED! I completely recommend checking out your local Hilton's, you might be in for a surprise! :)
