Well technically it would be Matron of Honor, but Maid on Honor sounds so much better!
I asked my girls to be in my wedding like a week after getting engaged but I wasn't sure who I wanted to be my MOH yet and 3 out of 5 of my bridesmaids live in different states. I'm so worried about inconviencing everyone that I just thought I'd wait....then FI told me I had to pick! haha he had already picked his best man and since we are getting closer to the wedding he put pressure on me to think about it.
I don't really NEED my MOH to do anything. One of my bridesmaids have been great and has already been trying to plan things for months, haha (Christina!) though I'd be happy to plan it all myself but apparently i'm not allowed to do that. I know some brides have their bridesmaids calling venues and stuff for them but I'm sorry, I could never ask anyone to do that. So I guess it really just came down to who I really wanted next to me that day! And the first person that always came to mind when thinking about bridesmaids was Kara! And I was worried because she's in Denver and expecting a baby in March but I finally just said to myself...i don't want her to be available to do things, I just want her there! So I made a cute little book with a poem and old pictures of us and gave it to her while she was home from Denver this week! It was funny....the last page said will you be my maid of honor and she didn't realize there was a last page and closed it and said aww thanks. I guess she just thought I made her a nice card for no reason, haha. So I had her open it back up to see the last page!
I'm very excited for Kara to be there for my wedding! I'm very excited for all my girls, they are all super wonderful and I'm very lucky to have such good friends!
