How much candy is everyone using for their candy buffet? I have about 275 guests. So far I have about 22 different shaped glass containers.

We are planning on having a candy buffet at our wedding. The thing is that our colors are black, white, and fuchsia. I am not a huge fan of black licorice. And I think having all different types of candy would be better so people have more of a choice.

Is it bad if my candy buffet does not match my colors?

I found these centerpieces and thought they were gorgeous (the vase part). I have been discussing with my florist just how we are going to replicate something like this. We have found vases we are thinking of using but now on to the difficult part. I have not been able to find the fuchsia colored marbles. I have done search after search and have only found a few things. I found hot pink acrylic sea glass (2nd picture). This would work great I think except that it is $11 a bag. Since the centerpieces are 24 inches high and we will need about 25 I think this would be extremely pricey. Since not just one bag will fill the vase. I am not even sure how many bags will fill it.

The other thing I thought about using was cherry flavored rock candy (3rd picture). Let me know what you think.


Other ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!

So I don't know what my problem is but I am not a fan of tuxes with a white shirt. So Paul and I decided the guys are going to wear an all black tux. (Yup black pants, jacket, shirt, and vest). But then I am going to order extra fabric of the girls fuchsia dresses and have my seamstress make them ties so they match exactly.

As for Paul since I will obviously be in a white dress he will just get white tie.

We are thinking of getting them through Mens Warehouse.

Know of any other good places to get tuxes from?

Ok here is what I want our invitation to look like. There are 2 options. You can either have it with the bow or without it. I like the bow just not in that color. I think it would look better if it had a fuchsia bow. Well that is not an option. So i figured I would attach a pink bow myself. Now here is the question.

How should I go about doing this? I found a woman on ebay that makes pre-tied bows and then I could just glue the bow on. Is glue a bad idea?


Any other thoughts?

I fell in love with this guest book but it seems kind of pricey for something we will look at only once in a while. It is $70....or is that the going rate for these things?

Since we don't have kids yet my world revolves around my beautiful puppy Winnie. I don't know if you could really call her a puppy because she is about 60 pounds but I adore her. Since we are getting married in a Church and she will not be allowed to participate I was thinking of maybe having her attend the rehearsal dinner. My parents want to host a BBQ at their house since we live in a small town an there aren't that many restaurants to hold the rehearsal at. Since it will be at their house I thought the Winster could attend. Of course she will need an outfit though. One picture is of my beautiful girl on the couch and the other is the outfit I was thinking to get her to wear. It will be the pink camo one though not the green.

I also picked out the dress I want to wear for my rehearsal dinner. I wanted to keep it as "bridal" as possible.

OK I know I may be crazy but I picked out a dress I want to wear for my bridal shower already. Since our colors are black, white, and fuchsia this dress kind of fits with the theme. I figure I will leave it and shoes with my mom and have her bring it the day of my shower and then I can change when I get there. The thing is since you don't know when it is you can't be dressed to the nines everytime you go out expecting this could be the day.

Is that crazy?

I picked out my bridesmaids dresses. Since the wedding is in August I didn't want the girls to be hot so I decided on t-length dresses. They will be fuchsia with a black sash. The second picture is the color (the hot pink one).

Question: Should I just tell my bridesmaids to pick out some sort of black strappy sandal to wear or should i have them all in the same shoe? I don't want to have them get shoes dyed to match bc I want them to be able to wear them again. The only problem if I pick out a shoe is that my bridesmaids are all different heights and I want everyone to be comfortable.

Paul surprised me with a trip to Las Vegas for our 3 year anniversary. We stayed at the Bellagio and had an amazing view of the strip! The first night in Vegas we went out to a wonderful dinner and then went on the Gondola ride at the Venetian Hotel. After that we went back to the hotel and I was looking out the window and all the lights on the strip. Paul came up behind me and hugged me and said I love you. Then he turned me around and the next thing I knew he was down on one knee asking me to marry him. I was so excited I just kept jumping up and down. I grabbed the ring and of course said YES!!!!
