How Much are you Spending on Flowers?

Photobucket

I went to the florist today and YIKES!!!!!! They want $2400..... whew.... I wasn't expecting that amount but according to the florist my taste is extravagant. I absolutely love what they're going to do but may need to change some things.

I just wanted to know how much you girls are spending on flowers or how much you guys spent.

I will be doing silk flowers. My bouquet will be the only real flowers there. The bridesmaids can take them home as gifts or I can resell them to make my money back. Sams clubs and BJ's selld really nice flowers for really really cheap. You can always order them and put them together yourself. Try there website.
Hope this helps
Happy planning

I spent in total for everything $350 for Natural Touch Bouquets.
In this price i got:
1 Bridal Bouquet
3 Bridesmaids Bouquets
1 Groom Bout
11 Bouts
6 Corsages & my throw away bouquet is FREE!!
I baught all of my flowers through wedideas.com & im SUPER happy with the out come of it all. It would have cost me just over 400 if i would have done it myself with silk flowers because the flowers i wanted were at walmart & they aren't cheap there [ even tho they should be ]

It is official I believe that is the standard amount that floris tell people in the beginning.  I went to two shops and they both came back with something in the $2,000, and I changed a few things when I went to the second place.

Well, I am hoping to stay under $1000 right now for my ceremony.  I really, really want to get down to $500.  But we will see.

If you go to my page I have a break down of how the $1000 is split.

The quote I got for flowers was for $900. That is with me providing my own vases that I got all for about $150 from Home Goods. That quote includes 1 bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaid bouquets, 1 grooms boutineer, 4 groomsmen boutineers, 2 dad's boutineers, 2 mom's corsages, 30 large calla lilies for centerpieces, 100 roses for favors, 2 small arrangements for the gazebo, flower girl petals and cake table decorations.

I'm still considering doing the flowers myself with the help of my family. If I do that I'll only be about $500 for flowers. I decided to keep all my decorations simple. I feel like my venue is so beautiful anyway and I didn't want to clutter it with elaborate floral decorations.

We did silk flowers and it was almost $1000, I didn't want to spend that much but it was still cheaper than going fresh. I wanted Anemones and our wedding was in October and they are a spring flower so to get what I wanted I had to do silk. I didn't DIY them though, I ordered them from www.hibscusflorals.com based out of Canada (i'm from the states) and they were SOOOOO gorgeous and awesome. Everyone thought they were fresh!

We are spending about $2,500 on flowers
I have a HUGE bridal party (7 girls) so that added up and I really wanted to dress up the gazebo we are getting married in
I am making some of the low centerpieces myself which saved me about $500

I got a quote around that much also. I cut my budget back by $2000 by making the brides made bouquets from artificial flowers and mine being the only real one. I also cut out someone making them as i will take on this task myself, I watched a few youtube videos. Another tip is to interpret flower petals, it will make a scene and help take the place of table decor. Hope this help some.
