I absolutely love my DIY centerpieces! It took forever to complete just one but it was sooo worth it. My vision came alive...;)
First I went to the Good Will store to find vintage looking lamps. My FH helped me take them apart. In picture 5 you can see the other lamps in the background. I then purchased the paper mache value pack of boxes at Michaels. I painted them Tiffany's blue and wrapped white ribbon around them. The flowers I got at the Dollar store, I wasn't about to pay $4 to $5 dollars on two or three flower at Michaels. The pearls are mine so I'm thinking about going to the Good Will to try and find some cheap pearl necklaces to add to the other boxes. I'm planing to make ten of these so I need to get lookin. :)
Oh and to secure the box to the lamp...I left that up to my FH. For right now the box just has a hole in the bottom to slide over the top of the lamp.
I love, love, love the way they turned out and cant wait to finish the rest.
Any suggestions??? Just I add more pearls or different jewelry pieces to bling it up more?
If you like it with the lamp then rock it out!
Bravo...Wonderful job! Just wonderful!
I Love, Love, Love your value centerpiece. You can have the vision and the look for the fraction of a dollar! Yayyyy! I do have 2 spools of 12 yards each of white pearl strands. You can cut them yourself. I wish I would of known and ship that to you with the frames! I'm asking $6.00 ea, probrably cheaper than riding around trying to find pearls by the each. Take a look at my blog from today. It may help you better. Approved by,
