Misbehaving FH
He STOLE my Haagen-Dazs!!!
Alright, this isn't so much wedding-related, but I really needed to vent about this. I was in the ER super early this morning in severe pain. The doctors thought that I had kidney stones - come to find out I actually tore a muscle in my back. So I am bed ridden for the next three days on pain killers and muscle relaxers. Not to mention Aunt Flo is visiting.
I go to the freezer to get some Haagen-Dazs coconut sorbet, which I have never even tasted before, to find the carton COMPLETELY empty! Not only that, the FH made a point to stick it behind the zesty lemon sorbet where I originally stuck it. This is the ONLY luxury I allow myself because I am trying to loose weight before the wedding so I switched from ice cream to fat-free sorbet. I started bawling I was so mad. I always buy him whatever ice cream or sorbet he wants and he made it a point to eat mine and then stick it back empty thinking he was funny. So I go to the store I originally bought it at and, lovely surprise, they no longer carry it. Haagen-Dazs doesn't even make it anymore. Even double-checked the website - nope, coconut sorbet is no longer. So I get even. I take the entire gallon of the FH's beloved Key Lime Sorbet and scoop it out into a seperate container. I hide the container deep in the freezer and stick the empty container of Key Lime in its original spot. "Sorry honey, my coconut sorbet was gone so I just ate all of yours." The best part - the store we get it from is completely sold out of it right now. NEENER! Moral of the story: Don't mess with the FW's frozen goodies. |

So now we are trying to decide between two photos to send with our save-the-dates. I like #1, FH likes #2 and we both love the comedy of #3 but don't think it would be "appropreate" to send.

We got an awesome deal on my wedding band!
We didn't plan on buying my wedding band so soon. However, we were at a local Macy's that is closing and found a band that went perfectly with my engagement ring. Added bonus - $320 originally, Paid $92.

We got our Ring Pillow and Flower Basket today!
Ok, so I originally got our ring pillow and flower basket brand new from a local thrift store for $5 for both. Then my FH and I came across ones that were EXACTLY our wedding colors in Navy and platinum. Of course, they were quite a bit more than what we originally spent. And, of course, because we have not found any wedding accessories in exactly our colors, we had to buy the darned things.
I just added a little something extra to our basket to make it a little more unique :o) They are so flippin' CUTE! |

Gotta Love the Dollar Store!
So I found an amazing deal at the dollar store - Wedding plates, cups and napkins - all matching, and in one of my wedding colors! Packages of 20 plates and napkins for $1 each. Wow, so very stoked because they look like they would be from a party supply place and cost much more. At 5 cents each, how could I pass this up?
Also, if you go to dollartreedirect.com you can order the Plates and Napkins in bulk, but the cups are no longer avail online. Just wanted to share! |
