Our First Year Anniversary!!
Our gift to each other-Matching tattoos!
I can't believe it's already been a year! Things are going great, It was a little hard to get use use to calling each other husband and wife so we made a point of always calling each other that. I love being married and he does too!
On our first year anniversary we went to New Orleans and had a blast. Traditional gift for the first year of marriage is paper. So we paid (paper money hehehe) for each others matching tattoo commemorating our wedding with a Fleur De Lis and our wedding date. Our wedding had a french Marie Antoinette theme so this was perfect. I miss all the planning for the wedding and joke with my husband that I want to get married again..lol |

My Ring Bearer

My baby boy was our ring bearer. He got a little nervous and had to be carried bu he did a great job and everyone loved him. Anyone thinking of using your four legged children in your wedding? I have no regrets about it and it was wonderful letting him share in our special day.

Vendor Review Clear Lake Flowers & Gifts
The Florist we decided to go with was Clear Lake Flowers and Gifts. They were referred to us by our venue, Butler's Courtyard. I'm so happy we went with them. Michelle was our consultant and we worked together months before the wedding. She was always willing to work around my work schedule which was a plus. I had a vision of exactly what I wanted, PINK, french, Marie Antoinette with shades of light blue. Michelle was able to envision my dream, seemed quite excited about it, and made it all come true! Check out my bouquet with the tassel! I showed Michelle a photo in a magazine and she was able to recreate it!! I loved it!
There was a small hickup with the vases we originally ordered but Michelle came through for us and I was quite happy with the results. Clear Lake Flowers & Gifts did the Gazebo decor, bridge, boutonnieres, mine and my bridesmaids flowers, sisters and mothers, the table vases, candelabras and the cake flowers. The flowers were gorgeous, fresh and smelled wonderful! Cakes by Jula Our cake was part of the wedding package at Butlers Courtyard. A couple of months ago we met with Jula. I already had in my mind what I wanted. The beautiful crown topper had already been purchased. Jula had a few wedding cake examples in her shop one of which i borrowed from (he bottom tier) for our cake. The shop offers many flavors and fillings. For ours we chose Pink Champagne with cream cheese filling and butter cream icing. Let me tell you this cake was to die for!! We had many compliments on the design and the taste of the cake. Just like they advertise "They taste as good as they look." and they do! I kid you not i ate nothing but wedding cake for days..lol When they brought me out to look at the cake I nearly cried! It was perfect! Just what I envisioned. I think Marie Antoinette would have loved it! Cakes by Jula also did Roy's grooms cake. It was red velvet with a cream cheese filling and the design was an I-Phone. They did a great job with all those apps! I give Cakes by Jula an A+ I will definitely be a returning customer! If you are in the Houston/Clear Lake/Galveston area I highly recommend them.
