Tonight after work the Fiance and I did a hour of engagement pictures. It was so fun and we used the two save the date props I made. We ran out of time because it got dark so we only got a few pictures. Next week will be doing more! Next week we will be down town on Broadway with some really cool old buildings and scenery! Our good friends sister is doing our engagement and wedding pictures. She is a awesome photographer, I will post some of the ones from tonight once I get them back from our photographer.

Today I finally had time to run around and start looking for wedding stuff. I got the burlap, lace, and paper to make our save the dates. I am so excited to make them! I got the idea off of pinterest and I can't wait! I also got this adorable cute lace dress for one of my outfits for our engagement picture! I also found 2 shirts for thomas to wear for our pictures. We have 2 weddings to attend this weekend, so its putting me in the mood for getting more planning done!

IT'S HERE!! I got to pick up my wedding dress Saturday! I was so nervous that I wasn't going to like it anymore, but I absolutely love it still!!!I tried it on before we left, and I did not want to take it off. I went with my best friend, and she learned how to tie my dress, and she also tried on some bridesmaid dresses. The lady that helped us was very rude, I was so disappointed. I don't think I will be getting my BM Dresses at David's Bridal. I also purchased a Gown Preservation Kit for after the wedding for only $99, they take out the stains, spray with anti-yellow stuff, and preservation spray and put it in a box that is see through.I decided to keep it at my grandparents that way I will not be tempted to show thomas all the time, plus its the safest place for it!

I just need to vent, because when I vent to FH he just tells me I am looking too far into things.

So my future in-laws are pretty great people, I love them dearly but lately they have been making me feel uncomfortable. I have always wanted a huge wedding, and with all our family and friends. However Thomas's parents and his brother got married by the justice of the peace. Thomas will be the only one in the family to have an actual wedding, and I think they are having a hard time with this. Every time the wedding or wedding planning is brought up his mom just says " oh they have 11 months until they wedding, they still have time to decide". Its very frustrating because I want a big wedding with a white dress, decorations, a party and all that goes with it. I always felt that they were happy with Thomas's decision of marrying me, but now I am unsure. I would like to include his mom in the wedding planning but I hate bringing it up because she just pushes it aside. Last weekend at his cousins bridal shower his one aunt was excited to talk wedding plans with me but his mom instantly butted in and said we have time to change our minds and could just do like everyone else and get married by the court. I just wish they could be more excited for the wedding so that I could include her more and discuss things with her.

Is anyone else having issues like this? If so how do I get them to realize I do not want what they want?

Today my parents ordered my wedding dress. It was such a sad day for mom to buy the first wedding dress for one of three daughters. She called me crying because she is so happy that I will be marrying such a great man. So happy that she approves :) She is just sad that we are all growing up. I am very thankful that my parents bought this, but it was totally unexpected. Thomas and I planned on paying for the wedding ourselves, but my parents just can't resist helping with the cost.

For me this is so exciting and the next step to my big day. They had to order it in petite, but I guess that's what you get for being under 5 feet. They said it will be in mid September. To be honest I was hoping it would come in later because now I have to look at it for 8 months. I think I will just have to keep it safe at grandma's because knowing me I will try it on every day. I am so happy with the dress that I choose. I feel so beautiful in it, and can't wait to wear it on the wedding day.

I did not order the veil or undergarments because they were ridiculously pricey. The veil alone cost half of my dress! My grandma said she would help me make one, or I might see if Moms wedding veil will coordinate with my dress.

Just an exciting update on the wedding planning!!

Last Saturday, My mom, grandma, sister Alexis (Maid of Honor), friend Hallie (bridesmaid), friend Stacie (bridesmaid), and I went to Bismarck to my first time going wedding dress shopping. I will tell you it was the hardest thing to do is not try on dresses right after he proposed and wait a year to do this. I was so excited that I ended up getting only 3 hours of sleep the night before.
We started the day of with going to David's Bridal. I had a few dressed in mind and tried them on. I found two that I absolutely loved. One is a strapless all over lace, mermaid style dress and the other is a A-line, sleeved lace dress. When I came out of the fitting room with the sleeved dress my mom started bawling which made me start to cry and I fell in love with the dress. The dress made me feel so beautiful, however the sleeves were itchy and uncomfortable. I decided to try on one more and loved the lace strapless one just as much. They put me in the veil and how schabang and I felt like a bride. I told the lady I needed to think about it and will be going back to David's Sunday. I think I finally decided to go with the strapless one because I feel more comfortable, and if you know my wedding party there will be tons of dancing and alot of partying, and I felt to confined in the sleeved dress.

SO I just found this wedding blog and wanted to start my own wedding blog, so i will begin from the beginning.

Thomas and I met for the first time when I went to his school's prom when I went with a friend in 2007. Thomas instantly noticed me and came over and introduced himself. I will be completely honest and admit that he followed me around the whole night like a lost puppy dog. After that we ended up running into each other at State FFA which is a week long. We danced at the two dances and exchanged numbers. Two weeks later after state FFA he asked me out asked me out to a movie on June 22,2007. We went to Bismarck and saw the movie Disturbia. The whole ride home I could tell he was nervous because he would not shut up for more than 15 seconds. I thought he was a big goofball from the first time I met him. Something about his goofieness, and nervous constant talking made me fall for him instantly. The next day he came over to my parents and he was the sweetest guy I have ever met. With unlimited nights of laying in bed talking, wrestling, and going out to parties and movies I fell for the man I would soon call my husband. We dated through high school and after I graduated we got our first apartment in Fargo. On June 22, 2011 our 4 year anniversary thomas told me we would be going to bismarck for dinner and a movie, since our 3rd year anniversary was spent fixing fence in the 102 degree weather. While I was getting ready thomas called me into the bedroom and was on one knee and asked the question I had been waiting for. He didn't have the ring so I thought he was joking, he then told me that I could help pick out the ring when we got to Bismarck. I screamed yes, through the tears, and accepted to marry him, I later found out that he called my parents early that week to ask for permission to marry me. they told him of course and was wondering how long it would take before he finally asked. So we went to Zales and turns out the ring I had chosen was one of the 3 he planned on buying,.We decided on having a 2 year engagement because in 2013 June 22 will be on a Saturday and it will have special meaning because we started dating June 22,2007 got engaged June 22, 2011 and will be married June 22, 2013. The waiting has been hard and days I want to move up the date, but then I remember this day will have more meaning and will make it easier for Thomas to never miss a Anniversary .

It makes me unbelievably happy to say I will be marrying my high school sweetheart and best friend.
