Candelabras!!

Great find! I got these at Target, they are only $14.99 and are located in the Halloween items. They are heavy duty black metal and for being a Halloween decoration they are very classy and I think they will look great on our tables alternating between our large cylinder vases. They are also available at Target.com and don't forget if you are a AAA member you get 15% off on Target.com! What tdo you ladies think?

I bought the last two online and now have a total of 10.   We are using them for our centerpieces too!  Be careful when holding them though.  I broke one by picking it up from the pillar holder (it just popped off) not the stem.

Funny, we had one fall apart like that as well, but it was an easy fix! I am still totally in love with them though.  We decided on ivory pillar candles; you can get smokeless/drippless ones from Michaels.

That's great to know about the smokeless/dripless candles!  Thank you!  I will definitely go with those.  I'm a bit concerned because we're getting married in the Outer Banks and we're having a tented reception so I'm hoping the candles don't keep blowing out from all of the wind!  How did you fix your candelabra?  Glue gun?

Well it just so happens my FH has a welding machine so we used that.  A good idea (since it is metal) is track down some JB Weld at home depot, it affixes to the metal and acts like metal itself..sort of like a metal glue.  I would imagine a glue gun would work though because those top parts aren't that heavy...I know it is not an Inexpensive idea, but you might look into the flameless candles at Target.  We have some in our house and they are great!! The flicker like real candles and even have a vanilla smell to them.  They are real wax so unless someone looks down into the candle they would never know they werent real..might solve your wind problem.  For the difference in price it might be worth the peace of mind and one less thing to worry about on your big day!

You have excellent ideas!  Thank you for the JB Weld idea.  I will definitely get some before we make our trip to the Outer Banks.  My biggest fear is that one will break during all the travel.  Right now I have them stored in a big plastic container so they should be ok.  I will look in to the candels too.  We're meeting with the tent rental company next week so I'm going to ask them about sides for the tent, wind factor etc.
