DIY Wedding
::Water Bottles::
I never blogged about my water bottles. Some of you may have seen these blank "printable" labels from Hobby Lobby. I thought they were so cool, but was lost on how to complete them. There were absolutely no directions in the package and even online, where you can download different templates, there was nothing. I thought it was a lost cause....until strolling through Hobby Lobby another time and I found some monogramed envelope seals. They worked PERFECTLY. They were clear so it looked as if it was made to go on these.
Hope this may help anyone looking to do their own DIY labels!! |

Can't stop doing projects!
:::8 Days to go!!:::
I do really love all this wedding planning and all the fun projects that go along with it. This close to the wedding (8 days) though, I just need to stay OUT of Hobby Lobby! Every time I go in there I always find another DIY project. Today's project was painted wine/beer glasses.
For anyone planning on doing this, if you have any bit of artistic talent I recommend just doing it freehanded. I bought stencils, but unless you have a flat surface, and plenty of patience to allow time for everything to dry, it will just smear and become a mess. That being said, I did all of mine freehand. :) For the gals, I kinda made each glass personal for what they like. Pink for one, Zebra for one, and leopard for the another. The guys just got basic green paint for their name. Writing up thank you notes for everyone, packaging them all and I pretty much think my wedding projects/to do list is complete!! As long as I can stay out of the craft stores!! Anyone else DIY'd these glasses? |

::Bachelorette Party::
:::GREAT NIGHT!!:::
My Bachelorette party turned out so great! It really could not have been better. We started out at the spa. The massage was so nice and relaxing. Next we checked into the hotel and I got to open my bachelorette "cake". It was full of undies, nighties, and bras. One of my friends had the bright idea for all of us gals to put the undies on while we were out. Turned out....I happened to get 8 pairs of undies and I had 8 girls. So we wore them out to Lonestar Steak house. It was HILARIOUS! After getting out bellies full we went back to the hotel to get ready for the night out! First stop was the comedy club. Lots of good laughs. There happened to be a bachelor party going on there too, and they had rented this sweet streched out Expedition white limo. They wanted to take us to our next stop (the club) so we all climbed in, had us a drink and rode over to get our dance on!
I put up some pics of my crazy fun night! Hope you all had (or will have) just as fun and memorable of a night!! |

Bachelorette Party!
-{::Party Time::}-
Tomorrow is my bachelorette party. I am soooooo excited!! Myself and 7 other lovely ladies are going out of town, about an hour away to a bigger city. We will be starting at a spa/salon @ noon where everyone just picked what service they would like to have done. I am going with a massage. Much needed. :) Then we will check into our hotel and maybe do some shopping. Actually I need to get to a target to get my baby diapers. Their store diapers are great and much cheaper than Huggies, lol, unfortunately there's no Target in my town. I'm sure getting diapers is on everyone's agenda on their bachelorette party right?! HAHA
We will be going to a comedy show @ 7:30 and then end the night dancing at a club that is like 4 bars in one. They have several different "scenes" (live band, hip hop music, dance/pop music.....)all under one roof. I don't get the chance to go out much with having little ones, so it great to have a reason to get all dolled up and hang out with my girls. I am so so so ready and excited!!!! |

It's coming together
::Sucessful 3 times!::
I am a happy woman today!
Stop 1: Hair trial. This was my second one, although my first one at this salon, which is actually to salon I usually go to. I know that doesn't make much since, but I booked another salon due to the availabity of airbrush makeup...but when that didn't work out I booked with my usual salon. So glad I did. It was exactly the look I wanted and gave me the "bridal" I wanted. The last one did an updo I was probably capable of doing myself. So so HAPPY! Stop 2: Meeting the caterer They took several things I still needed to take care of off my to do list. We will be having several children at the wedding and I wasn't sure what would be the best way to serve their drinks throughout the night. Juice boxes? Make kool-aid and/or lemonade and serve from those gallon size pour containers. My mom also mentioned wanting to have coffee for later on. Well the caterers are being kind enough to let us keep the huge containers of coffee and punch for the whole night, even after they've packed up and left, and we will just return them the next day or so. They will also provide the containers to pack up any left over food. They will provide appetizers (about 8 different types) for only 50 cents per person for the cocktail hour. And will have chips and pretzels that I was planning on getting to put in these cute green damask "take out" boxes on the tables. Woohoo....I can feel the weight lifting off my shoulders. Stop 3: The tailor- Wedding Dress is ready!! My final fitting----and it"s......PERFECT! What a relief. Could my day have gotten any better? I also wanted to share with you brides that if you haven't gotten your veil and don't want to spend the hefty $200 that most are the beaded ones are in the bridal shops (yikes, isn't that crazy?!) check out the ebay store Venus Veils. Free expedited shipping, I literally got mine in just like 3 days. And for only $26!! I've attached a stock photo of my veil. Sorry I don't have any actual pics up yet from my hair trial. My mom took them with her phone, so once I get them I will try to update. |

I go tomorrow for my 2nd hair trial (different salon, my usual one) I am certain this one will be much better. My mom and I will also be metting with the caterer tomorrow too....and I just got a call saying my dress alterations are complete so I will stop there after my hair trial and then I will get to see the WHOLE look. SOoooooo excited!! :)

Share a Deal
Table Square: How about a bandana?
I had come across this picture on another brides inspiration picture and I LOVE it!! I am already using tall black tower vases and large hot pink pomander balls for half of my centerpieces, but this picture made me realize I need damask table squares underneath to tie it all together. I had remembered seeing damask bandanas at Hobby Lobby so went there this morning and they were SOLD OUT!! I got a rain check though, so hopefully they will be in soon. They are only $1.99!! I think that's a great deal.
I wish I had more time, I would to add black feathers onto them as well like the pic, but with only be 5 weeks until the big day, I think I have enough on my plate!! |

Makeup
E.L.F.
I had my makeup trial done last week and was sooo disappointed! I had airbrush makeup done, and it looked so thick and "dewey" instead of smooth, matte, and flawless like I was expecting. Also, she kept saying how it won't rub off, will last ALL day.....by the time I got home I was able to take a tissue and it wiped off easier than my normal makeup would have! She has just recently added this service at her salon so I'm not sure if she was just not experienced with it or what. So I will just be doing my own makeup, which I am fine with, I just want to it to last all day.
Not sure if anyone has ever gotten any makeup from e.l.f, it's super affordable and apparently pretty good quality. My mom had just given me a waterproof eye liner from them and I really like it. Today I got on their site and ordered all kinds of goodies!! I typically use a powder foundation so I bought some of that, a mineral primer, and a mineral powder booster to help the look last. I am so excited to get it and try it all out. For the next 2 days all ordered ship for $3.50. Anyone else tried the e.l.f cosmetics or had a bad makeup trial? |
