DIY Wedding
MY DIY WEDDING FLOWERS

I did a mixture of real flowers and fake flowes. All of my reception centerpieces were real flowers, and my ceremony decor was real flowers. I had red roses in pew cones 2 arrangements for the gazeebo (where we were married under) and my bouquet was red roses with black feathers.

I DIY corsages for the mothers, boutineers, and BM bouquets. I found a lot of the velvet "real touch" flowers at DOLLAR tree, for $1.00 for 6.. They were gorgeous and did NOT look fake at all (as you can see in pics.)

For the BM bouquets, I used 8 silk flowers with black feathers, all wraped in damask fabric and then wrapped again in teal fabric.

For the Corsages, I glued a big crystal jewel in the middle of the flowers, layered the back with black tulle, and a teal ribbon, and then put a fleur de lis jewel on the ribbon. I glued the entire thing ON a cheap pearl bracelet (thick beads) and used as corsages.. Everyone LOVED them, and I kept getting ppl asking where I got them from!!

The boutineers, I did the same process as above, except glued them onto pins. They were super cheap to make and gorgeous!!!

So I ordered 1000 freedom roses from Global Rose and they came in on Thursday. As soon as they came in, me and one of my BMs cut the bottoms about 2 inches and put them in water and hauled them to my FIL's to keep in a cool dark room. They were transported to my reception site the Sauturday of my wedding and my aunt put them together. I am not positive how many she put per arrangement but you can probablt count one site, double that, to figure it out.

Helpful Hints:

*MAKE SURE YOU GET THE CORRECT TYPE OF FOAM AND ALL NECESSARY SUPPLIES.. I BOUGHT THE WRONG TYPE OF FOAM AND DIDNT HAVE ENOUGH FLORAL WIRE, SO WE GOT GHETTO WITH IT AND USED DUCT TAPE..LMAO.. IT WORKED PERFECTLY!!!!

ALSO, I WOULD SUGGEST YOU ORDER YOUR FLOWERS A FEW DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING. I WOULD SAY SUNDAY, THE DAY AFTER MY WEDDING, WHICH WAS 4 DAYS AFTER I GOT THEM, THEY WERE PERFECTLY OPENED THE WAY I WANTED THEM!!!

IVE ATTACHED A FEW PICS FOR YOU TO SEE. WE HAD 2 PPL WORKING ON MY FLOWERS AND ID SAY IT TOOK ABOUT 3-4 HOURS TO DO, TOPS.

I ORDERED THE VASES ONLINE, THEY WERE 24 INCH TALL WITH A 4 INCH OPENING AT THE TOP AND ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!

If you have any other questions, pls dont hesitate to ask. I am trying to update my profile in detail to help out other brides!!!
