Ceremony door decor
I really want feathers to be a big part of our decor. and I love that they are so much cheaper than flowers and look so fun. After our first meeting with our florist I was seriously freaking out. I really wanted flower wreaths for the doors leading into the sanctuary and they were each $300 I wanted them to be peony wreaths thats partly why. So I decided to make feather wreaths and they turned out great and look really beautiful. Plus when I started thinking about it I mean the flower wreaths are beautiful but they are just going to end up dying and I can name lots of other things to spend $600 on. Tell me what you think.

DIY Wedding
MY VERY OWN PINK CRINOLINE
Well I dyed my crinoline pink this weekend and I LOVE IT! I was so excited and i'm so ready to wear it right now! I was extremely nervous because it's 100% polyester so I wasn't sure if it was going to take or how it was going to turn out but it looks amazing.
I used 2 boxes of rit dye and it took about an hour and half but it's exactly what i pictured. |

Honeymoon
We booked our HONEYMOON ....YAY
We finally booked our honeymoon! We could not decide and went back and forth and finally just went to a Travel Agent she was amazing and we both fell in love with Puerto Vallarta – Riviera Nayarit, Mexico. So we leave on the Monday after our wedding and come back the following Monday. I can't wait for 7 days of pure bliss! We have never had a real vacation with just us 2 so i'm really excited.

BM Gifts whats everyone giving?
BM GIFTS...what to give
I'm just curious what everyone else is giving their bridesmaids I have a few things but I wanted to get them each something a little personal. I'm just all of out ideas my brain has been working over time for the past year now...hahah . Is a "fancy" gift required. Here is what I have so far I still want to get them each their actual gift and I still have to find their jewelry!
I want to pin the broach on one of the tank straps and then have the girls wear blue jean skirts the day of the wedding with their gold flip flops so we can take some fun cutesy pics. before our serious ones! I will wear my white tank w/ Pink flip-flops I think it will make super cute pics. The Love Pink bag is my wedding day bag. It's gold and pink yay! |

I FINALLY FOUND MY JEWELRY!
I'm so excited I finally decided on jewelry! I found the perfect well what I thought was the perfect necklace and when I got it in it was awful and look so cheap nothing like the picture online so I was really bummed. Then I found a Jewelry website on here and found the I HOPE perfect necklace it looks amazing so i'm keeping my fingers crossed it should be in the first of April.

THE HAIR DECISION.....
I have been looking for the perfect hair syle and i'm just not sure:( I can't find anything that I see myself having I mean I find a million that I like but none that I just love. How do you decide. I'm wearing a cathedral veil and regular veil and blusher. I have decided not to wear a tira though. I NEED HELP:( Here are a few that I do like.

FEATHERS
I have always liked feathers but now i'm obessed with them! I wanted everything with the wedding to be really different so instead of our flower girls throwing petals down the isle they are going to be dropping little pink feathers! I got them in a few weeks ago and absolutely love them i think we are going to sprinkle them on some of the tables at the reception as well!! To weight them down so they will flutter to ground i'm going to put little rhinestones down the middle of them and hopefully while i'm coming down the isle and the photographer is taking pics you will see them glisten:) I think it's such a fun idea. As soon as I get the rhinestones put on I will def. share!
SO I put the rhinestones on the feathers this weekend and 2 hours later here is how they look. It took forever but I think they turned out great. I can't wait for the Big Day. |

Does anyone know where to buy a tulle crinoline??
I love the idea of a pink crinoline under my gold dress!! My colors are PINK AND GOLD so I think it would be perfect. I found tons of posts on DIY and love the ideas but I can't find a crinoline that is mostly tulle all the shops have the kind with the material over them any suggestions?

For our ceremony site I knew exactly what I wanted it was just a matter of finding it. SMU Chapel is gorgeous but we have had 2 friends get married there so we really didn't want to get married at the exact same church we were already using a reception site from a previous wedding..hehe ........After a few weeks of searching I found the PERFECT church it's everything I was looking for. I wanted the open pipes, hard wood floors, all white church, w/ lots of windows. I'm just a bit picky I get an image in my head and i'm not happy until it's exactly as I imagined.
