Wedding Dress - I designed my dress :P

Well... not exactly... :o) I was fell in love with thousands of wedding gowns in the last year... and I tried to fill all the things I liked on a dress into my dress.... I was dreaming about it night by night and finally I asked a dressmaker for sew it. I was looking for and chose all the materials for the dress, I loved procuring all the things. It was a kind of D.I.Y. project... hahaha :o)

I found these ideas on the internet. I really love them from the first time. It was totally sure that I would ask our photographer to make these sets. Of course I left the printed sample pictures at home on the Big Day (there was around 50 pictures...) ... so we must have explained what we would like to... But it was successful, because they camed out so great I think. I can't wait one of our friends' wedding to make such a good settings, I like taking photos very much... :o)

Well, I actually don't feel any difference in our new life as a married couple. We are working all weekdays and try to have a rest on the weekends. We had also lived together before we got married, so there are no news in that place either. But something even so changed, we love and respect each other more than ever and trying to use the words: husband and wife :o) And totally feel that we are going to live all our lifetimes together. Do you feel any change after your wedding?

Well this is one of the parts of our wedding, which is not quite that kind I would have liked to be... You can see my dream cake on picture No. 4. We gave a picture of this cake to the confectioner of course, it was totally discussed. He said that he can do it. But unfortunately at the end we can totally fix that here they can't make dubled cakes as in the USA ... :S as you can see, because they always use some kind of plastic or glass frame... they say the topper cake side would have pressed down the under cake side... Unbelievable!! Why can cake-makers do this in the other countries (and towns)???!! Ohh and I specially asked them not to use that lace paper decoration you can see between the cakes... and of course the used it... :( :) But anyway, it was tasty at least!! :o)

We had our reception in a quite small local restaurant. We had 70 guests so this place had enough place for the dinner and for a really cool retro party :o) The presentation of the table covers and dinner service was correct, so I was very happy about it :o) These pictures (01-06) were taken some hours before our wedding ceremony. Our little butterfly place cards on the glasses looked amazing and everybody told it was very unique! :o) And of course our wellcome drink cocktail was very successful!! :o) It looked also very great and it was so tasty!:o)

Well, here are the main moments of our wedding ceremony. It was really a moving special occation in our lives. It was just perfect. The main music was finally the followings during the ceremony: Rod Stewart - Have I told you lately that I love You Chaka Khan - Love me still (piano version) Edwin McCain - I'll be Chantal Kreviazuk - It feels like home to me Lynden David Hall - All you need is love The accustic of the hall was unbelivable and we liked our choices of these songs :o) And of course my dream comed true and there was a live violin solo by a young woman from the TITANIC movie. It was so touching for me and for everybody I hope so! :o)

Well our first stop of the day at 2pm was at an american football court for taking some funny pictures with my husband's team :o) It was a great fun, really... But we haven't got any usable shoots from that.... but here are some. After that we went to a park at 3 pm. And a professional photographer took these beautiful pics!!! I love them all!! :o)

Well, I am back to the site for introducing our wedding day to You (if you are intrested in it ... :o) ) It was really a beautiful day!!! It was a really cloudy day but when we were taking the photo shoots in the park the sun was shining ... :o) It was a real miracle... Our worst choice was the "ceremony master" who is a kind of wedding coordinator of the day here. Well he was drunk, so he didn't do his best on our big day... we sent him home at the half of the night... but overally our wedding day was the best of our life!! :o) So I will post the main happenings in my following posts...

So I can't belive that this time has arrived in my life... and now I am also saying goodbye to you, so as I have read a lot of brides' goodbyes here... it is my term now :o) Almost everything is finished and almost everything is on its way... so we must just waiting and following the happenings :o) Tomorrow is the last day before THE BIG DAY when I will go to make my nail painted and to my beutician and just acting as a princess in my dress at home all day... trying all of our accessories to the dress... Today one of my friends, Zsuzsi will arrive from Ireland and we will go out for a 2nd Bachelorette Party just together as we haven't seen each other for a year... Well, this is THE week.... I am getting more and more excited... There are so much little things to organize... and sometimes I just realize that, hey my wedding will be this weekend !!! How about you girls out there?? :o) My Bachelorette Party was really great fun... my friends did their best, we had a cool time. We had dinner and I got a lot of presents and a lot of tasks to do (topics: cooking and how I can treat my husband-to-be the best :o). After that --- when I was a little tipsy (I never drink) --- I got my big surprise - a chippendale guy :oD. OMG, it was so embarassing :oP and finally we went to a retro disco :o) glitter-graphics.com Our little cute ladybirds are almost reaching each other... mmhhhh :o)

Our 4th D.I.Y. - Ring Cushion

I would liked to have a little bit more special ring cushion, so when I found this idea on the internet, I decided immediately that this shell-shaped cushion will be the real one for us. I also decided that I will make it, as I am totall love doing D.I.Y.s!!! :o) So I started to buy every little accessories for making it, and I made it during about 2 days... Yayy! :o) Here are the steps: 1. draw two shell-shapes to a cardboard (one for the down shell, one for the up shell) 2. cut them out with scissors, and cut a little line into the middle of the shells, so you can pull the ends together and make the shells a little concave 3. cut 4 pieces from the material, which will be cover shells 4. first sew the outer sides and after the inner sides to the shell cardboards (I folded the inner material of the top shell to each other as you can see...) 5. don't forget stuffing the down shell with some cotton-wools 6. sew some kind of design on the outer side of the top shell 7. sew a little tulle ribbon around the shells 8. sew together two shells 9. sew a pearl on the middle of the down shell 10. finally sew 2 ribbons near the pearl for the rings And that's all Folks!! :o) glitter-graphics.com

Originally I didn't want any glove to my wedding gown, but finally I picked a fingerless glove which is up to the half of my arm. My wedding will be next Saturday, so hopefully it will be quite warm here... I wouldn't stand a finger glove in summer... There will be a lace ribbon on the top of the glove, which is the same design as the lace is on the top of my wedding gown... Will You wear gloves???

First I asked my sister and my Fiancé's sister to be my bridesmaid. Honestly it was an economical decision... But then I realized that my friends felt not too good that they are missing from my bridesmaids... so I also asked my two friends to be my bridesmaids. Originally I would have asked them, so everybody is happy now :o) In Hungary the MOH is not also a bridesmaid so my best friend (who is living in Ireland) will be my Maid of Honor, but she won't wear the same dress as the other girls. So, summing up, I will have 4 bridesmaids and a MOH!! :o)

We are going to have original music on our reception instead of live music. I asked one of my colleagues to be our Dj on THE night. We like the idea of a retro disco with Abba, Boney M, The Beatles, The Bee Gees, Chris Rea, Bruce Springsteen, Hungarian rock'n'roll bands etc. and the music of my young age ( :o)))) ) -- Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, etc. and of course some kind of country music, we like it very much. The Dj will try to choose and play music fitting for everyone... In Hungary the real music for a reception should be a kind of "rollicking music" with violins and a doublebass. For elder people there will be this kind of music also, certainly from a disc :o) I feel sorry a little bit because we won't have a band playing live music, but they have a very high price here... so we chose the cheaper way, but I think a Dj music could be more colorful and flexible... My dress was designed by Fara Sposa (Spanish designer). The name of the dress is Fara Sposa 5252. And it was Love at first sight :o) Honestly it is more cheaper for me to ask a local dressmaker for create my dress... so in this way I got possibility to change the top side of the dress with my ideas... We'll see :o) P.S. We have ONE MONTH to go :o)

Oh my God, look at these tiny classy dresses... :o) We were playing our Barbie's and Ken's wedding over and over again with my sister as little girls... My boss had his wedding in Las Vegas at Chapel of the Bells last year. So I can't tell that I don't have any idea about a wedding in Las Vegas, because I made the papers for the travelling, ceremony, etc. and I saw a lot of pictures. There were no guests.... This kind of "speedy" weddings could be very nice, but I think it is more and more simpler than what a bride deserves.... :o) What do you think?

Me and my fiance are organizing the whole wedding. Usually parents do this or help to the young couple with planning and ordering stuffs, but in our case, we do and did it. It was a great time till this moment and I hope the last month till the big day will be also fun...
