I really like the look of the main photo you have with the candles floating around the centerpiece. If you are stuck on flowers as a must, do you mind mixing fresh with silk? Maybe addding some colored or frosted curly willow as an additional filler? Sometimes you can find the right blend & pull it off without the stale look that some artificial flowers sometimes bring. That can save you some $$$.
If you don't like that, then maybe check into purchasing feathers. They don't run cheap, but you might find a good deal in bulk. I am personally doing the trumpet vases, also lit, but topping them off with fitted lamp shades that have crystals dangling from them. This is another option. I am only purchasing 2-4 for our head table because of cost, & doing other centerpieces for our guest tables. I hope this helps a little.
