Ask a Question
Where are the Married Women!!!!!

Question.. is there somethings that we seem to make a big deal out of that really isnt a big issue on the" Wedding Day"

For instance, one of the color is a little off, and we are trying to find the perfect match, when in the end NOBODY noticed.. just little things that we stress out about, in the end ...Really does it matter.

So let us know is there something that we really dont need to worry about?

I think that's very true.  All of the little things that you are so worried about being perfect - no one else will notice if they are not.  And guess what?  On the day of your wedding, you probably won't worry about it either.  I know because I was just there about 2 months ago in October.

LOTS of stuff! lol
My wedding was last weekend and I was worried because my 5 year old daughters shoes were a different shade of red than her dress, I worried that one of the jars from our candy buffet was less than full, I worried that some of the pinecones for our placecards were smaller than the rest, I worried and worried and worried about stupid little stuff that NO one noticed.
In the end, the day was great and when people say "don't sweat the small stuff", it's soooo true.

I'm not married yet...for two more weeks at least, but I am a wedding planner and I can tell you that SOOOOOOOOO many things go wrong or not as planned that day and most of the time you will never know and your guest never notice.  It is fine to focus on everything now...not stressing just enjoy, but just know that come that day if something goes wrong it is all right.

Somethings I have noticed:  Most people miss card boxes...some even put it under them because they think they are gifts (not that I didn't make one)
The cake is rarely eaten and people don't even always pay attention to this step in the wedding.
Chairs:  People spend a ton of money covering them and guest do notice when they are covered, but they sometimes find covers uncomfortable and they rarely notice if they aren't covered

Those are just a couple of things, but for sure the biggest thing is as long as you are having fun and you are dancing and having a good time everyone else will too...your joy brings them joy.

I worried about sooooo much shit-I am a planner like no other! I would get out of bed at night and go online looking up the perfect personalized napkins lol!
Guess what? It's now a year and a half later-we still have about 150 of them leftover cause they were soooo pretty people were using the plain ones instead of the pretty ones ;P

You are definitely right!  The day of the wedding..no one will notice that your dress is ivory, but the linens are white.  When I was planning, I thought that I would look yellow in my ivory dress while standing next to the white linens, but the truth is you CANNOT tell!!!  You can even look at the pics on my blog..I don't see a difference really.  And if your guests are paying that close attention to criticize that your two shades don't match to the tee...then they have too much time on their hands.  Also, I asked all my bridesmaids to wear an updo or a curly side ponytail, some of them didn't even bother..and truth be told..I didn't even notice until now looking back at the pictures ( I think its funny, now) I thought to myself the other day..wow they really didn't listen or didn't care..but the wedding still turned out beautiful and we had a great time.  One other important that that I griped about while planning..I wanted to change from my heels into flats (from 4 inch heels to sneakers)..I thought my bustle would drag and my dress would look like I was tripping over it, but you know what...it didn't happen..I put on my sneakers afterwards and it was a perfect night!!  The important thing is to just enjoy the moment!! :)

Hello. *raises hand* lol.

There is a lot you dont need to worry about, that is for sure. If your anything like me I stressed about every little detail and planning.. with time lines down to the minute lol and color coordinating, list making like insane! In the end i found as a bride you are so completely helpless and everything that happens ont he day of is really out of your control as much as u try to be in control. I hired a coordinator which really helped!

People DO notice the small details and appreciate them but they also dont notice if they are missing or not. Like you may want your table set up a certain way and its completely messed up..but the guests dont know the difference nor do they care lol. I found the personal small things like cootie catchers, programs, favors, kids activity books etc were really commented on and appreciated...but if i didnt have them...no one would of cared either lol.

so moral of the story and bubble bursting time.. you can plan and stress all you want...but it will never go perfect and no one will care as much as you do lol
