Wedding Planner - I'm making progress...... - GLAMDIVABRIDE's Purple Wedding by Color Blog

These are just a few things that I have done or purchased....just wanted to post about it to keep record of my progress :-)

Tear of Joy (TOJ)- are so simple and cheap to make. Get some vellum envelopes, card-stock, and Kleenex and you're good to go. I only did about 30. I don't expect to have that many people at my wedding crying lol.

-I DO Letters- Added some adhesive bling to it (the plain white letters were bothering me). I will use these for pics and for my cake table.

-The bling tea-light/candle holders are to be used at our sweetheart table. I hope my decorator can find some way to incorporate them. The little small ones will be used on the cake table.

I love you TOJ packets! How did you glue the ribbon & cardstock in place? I have my materials & plan to tackle these next week.

I measured the ribbon around the envelope and added an extra inch to tape it. I used double sided tape (make sure the ribbon fits the envelope properly- you don't want it to be loose). Don't tape it to the envelope...tape it to the ribbon. I used a glue stick to stick the TOJ words to the purple backing. Then, once I did all of those...I used the double sided tape again to put the wording and backing on the ribbon. It sounds a little complicated, but I promise you it was easy lol.

Glue dots would also work for keeping the ribbon in place cbabb1. Everything looks awesome! As for the TOJ packets, are you having someone hand them out? Or just sitting them in a basket and letting guests grab them as they enter? I'm confused at what to do..

I will have them in a basket. For guest to grab. My hostess will give them to our mothers though (who are true criers lol). That's why I only did 30. They are cheap to make, so if people don't get them I won't be upset lol.
