I haven't pinned exact music but mine will be a mix of classic traditional and modern.

I love the Beatles and I especially love the remakes from the cast of Across the Universe. I'm thinking of sneaking a couple of those songs in like maybe "I wanna hold your hand" or "something in the way" for when my bridesmaids n i walk.
I like your ideas. much better than the cliche songs!

I am going non-traditional... I wrote a blog on my page if you want to check it out :)

I say make it your own!

I am going to have to put it in a player for blog too... great idea!

all of our ceremony music is going to be instrumental. some stuff by kenny g and so on. At the reception we are having, rock, country and many other types just so there is something everyone likes

Our first dance will be to Edwin McCann too.
Music will be a variety as ages are from 20 (20%) 40 (15%) 50 (65%)
My husband to be Grandmother will be attending she is 100.
Fortunately my future husbands family are all dancers.  Ballroom, Latin and Country.  Needless to say Brian has taken me to lessons for (2) years..........can't wait till they all see me dance now. LOL

Scott and I decided on these, so I guess it's more non-traditional:
My bridesmaids and I will walk into "When you Say Nothing at All" Allison Krauss' version.
During the sand ceremony we're either going to use "Keeper of the Stars" by Tracy Byrd or "God Gave me You" by Bryan White. Whichever one we don't use will most likely be the one we exit to.
Our first dance will be "Some People" by Leann Rimes.
We're forgoing the father-daughter dance because my father is deceased, and we're not doing the mother-son dance because Scott's mother has passed.

I like your choices!

I am thinking of using Ready Set Don't Go also for my father-daughter dance.....
I am using Canon in D Major by Pachelbel for my ceremony entrance....it is a classical piece but it is such a beautiful song.
Jared picked The Perfect Fan by the Backstreet Boys for his mother-son dance.
Other than that, I haven't made many decisions yet!

Ceremony:

Prelude music: A mix of love songs
Processional: "Morning Has Broken" by Cat Stevens (yes, he annoys me too, but I do love this song)
Bride's music: "Angel Standing By" by Jewel
Unity candle: Undetermined right now; either snippet of an acoustic song (I'm looking at "Sun King" by the Beatles) or a live solo
Recessional: "Theme From 'A Summer Place'"

Reception:

Cocktail Hour: We're thinking of an opening of love songs, but then doing something different for the remainder of the cocktail hour
Our first dance: "He's Funny That Way" by Billie Holiday
Parents' dance: "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong (cliche, yes, but we both choke up when we hear this song)
Dance music: So far we're including the classics like "At Last" by Etta James, "Can't Help Falling In Love" by Elvis, etc.
