Wedding Dress
After everything, I still LOVE my dress
I was having a hard time with the Bridal store I bought my dress from. They wouldnt give me a picture or tell me the designer name for the longest, even after I gave them a healthy deposit. Now im in the process of gathering my accessories and they apparently sold my sample dress. After a few angry phone calls they borrowed one from another store and I finally got the name and a picture!
I still dont like how they run their business and if i didnt love my dress I would be going somewhere else. It was stressing me out so much to a point of a rash. Our last meeting was a nice one. But hopefully there will be no more glitches and hope for the best in August when I receive it. |

Wedding Decoration
my first physical piece of the wedding
I got these from etsy. Com with personalize champagne flutes. Awesome quality! My pops doesn't care for them much but he will be happy to know I'm still going to use the champagne flutes from my parents wedding for the toast.

Wedding Invitation
Save the Dates are on their way
Since my wedding is at the union station I decided to do old train tickets. I love how they came out! I tea died the envelopes to add to the vintage look. It took all day to dye and dry 100 envelopes but I'm not disappointed. :)

Wedding Dress
To rent or not to rent?
I have a budget of 1,000 for my dress, which I think is fine because im not into names and I'm only going to wear it for one night so I dont like the idea of spending anymore. But I was talking to my grandmother today and she was trying to convince me to simply rent and I would have that extra money for whatever else. Im considering. I like the idea have actually keeping my dress to show my kids and maybe hand down, but in the other hand most likely it would be out of style by the time i have a daughter getting married, just like my mothers dress is to me. But how many brides actually do rent these days? and whats everyone's input?

Ask a Question
Theme problems
So Im having a hard time with my theme... it initially was 40's theme which is very elegant; pearls and lace. But a reason my fiancee picked october wedding was to have a halloween theme. So we thought about intertwining the two. But now that Im getting more into the the decor its just not going to work... one or the other. What do I do??? I love them both!
40's theme Pros: The decor would be cheaper, elegant and more traditional Cons: No zoot suits, decor harder to plan Halloween Pros: Fun and easy to decorate, fiancee's choice Cons: More expensive, definitely non tradional |

Wedding Flowers
Floral arrangement Help Please.
Was looking the other day for rose arrangements. My made of honor was trying to talk me into looking at other flowers because of the fact that roses arent exactly in season during the fall so the prices are going to high. But I have my heart set on roses, I couldnt think of anything else to fit me and my fiancee better. Im getting a discount on a florist, whom is my step mothers best friend, and im fortunate enough to live in LA with all the great districts including the flower district! Great flowers for even greater prices. The first one is my favorite withe the black feathers, will it work with the tall candelabras? I want candelabras and flowers for the centerpieces... but how can I make that work?

Wedding Rings And Jewelry
Got my Earrings
If you read my earlier post I wasnt sure about the earrings I found, I thought they might be a little too much on the bling side. But I dont have too many options when your ears are stretched and inch. ( I wish they would go away just for my wedding) But I found these for a reasonable price yet they arent the CZ stone that I wanted they arent too cheap looking. definitely very out there and very BLING but I think they just may work. =)

Inspiration Board
My Fair wedding with David Tutera
I love this show, he has such awesome ideas, but yesterday I seen an episode that was at my venue. The Los Angeles Union station. And the couple had a day of the dead theme which i thought was awesome... right up my fiancee's ally. Of course the shit he does is way extravagant and things that I wish but could not afford. The center pieces were 20 ft. dead trees which I absolutely adored how they decorated it.

Wedding Planning
With 14 months to go
Since I got so excited right off the bat with planning I feel like I already am way ahead of myself. My whole deal is I want to as less stress as possible when the day arrives. I have my venue booked, catering, photography, videography, bartender, rental company, DJ, and cake. I know theres still so much to do but I feel so accomplished already! Now I just need to sit back and relax for the next few months.
