Hey Ladies, are you planning to do something special with your sweetie for Valentine's Day? We will be taking our 1st set of engagement photos. My fiance wante to take them along the lake to capture the Chicago skyline in the winter but it is way to cold. So, we will be going to Sears and using their winter backdrops. Afterwards, he is taking me to dinner. He already bought my gift which I am currently wearing as you can see.

I don't understand why my fiance ex is now starting to cause trouble. She constantly tries to pick arguments with my fiance about their daughter. They have been divorced for 9 years and thir daughter is now 12. I get along with my "future" daughter well. I never call her my step-daughter and treat her just like she is mine. Her mother doesn't want her to be around me or my children and tells my fiance to keep her away. He is always telling her to mind her business and remind her that they have joint custody of their child. She doesn't want him but dosn't want him to be happy. Why are some women like this? Do any of you have this problem and what would you do?

I thought about having edible fruit arrangements as cebterpieces instead of flowers. This will be a nice treat for our guests.

This is a list of some of the music that will be played at our ceremony. I initially decided that my fiance will be escorting his mother down the aisle instead of an usher, however he now wants to walk down the aisle by himself to a song on our list. We decided to have the dj to play a snipet of different songs for each of our bridesmaids and groomsmen. We have over 25 songs for them to choose from. My sister is going to be the soloist at the ceremony and she chose 2 songs that are not on my list to sing.

I have already chosen my bridesmaid and junior bridesmaid dresses. I will have 4 bridesmaid, 1 maid of honor, and 3 junior bridmaids. I have yet to choose my maid of honr dress and can't make up my mind on the flower girl dresses. I picked out two as you can see but I'm not really feling them. If you have some advice, pleas help!!!

There are so many types of cakes to choose from. I narrowed down to a cake with a poem or my vows on it or a cupcake tower. I got the idea from Pink Cake Box. The cake will be ivory with blue wording. Don't know what flavor cake yet but my fiance wants something with strawberries.

Our wedding and reception will be held at the Patrick Haley Mansion in Joliet, IL. Our Event will be the only one hosted by the mansion that day. They have a seperate bridal suite and grooms suite where we can get ready prior to the ceremony. Our guest will have access throughout the whole mansion and its grounds. Our ceremony will be held outside and our reception will be inside the ballroom. We will also have a cocktail hour where our guest can roam the mansion or sit outside the conservatory while they are served hors d'ouvres and champagne.

The engagement ring is 2 & 1/2 carat princess cut ring. The band will be an enhancer which will be 1 carat.
