Ask a Question
WWYD... to extend or not extend?

Besides cut off all your hair before your wedding in the first place. My hair is about an inch or two longer than hers and the top layers are a tad more grown out but not much. This is pretty much what my hair looks like. I stopped trimming as of August so it hasnt grown out much and wont grow much more in the next 3 months. I've just gotten to the point where SOME of it will stay back in a pony tail so the question is... extensions or not? I really love all the loose, wavy, bohemian updos but I can barely pull my hair back when its straight. I've never had extensions before and am afraid of looking too 'barbie' or not liking the texture. On a separate note I do have lash extensions and love them and never want to be without them.

I LOVE extentions. Be careful with short hair though. You have to blend them super well of you will look mulletty!!!

I would def do the extensions. I too had the same hairstyle this year but since March I started to let it grow, and amazingly it has. But in three months your hair will be still very short to do much with on your wedding day. I would def start trying some out and see how you like them....Good luck!

I have that same length of hair as well adn I am getting extentions. I found Jessica Simpson extensions for only $110 at Ulta and so thats what I have decided to do. Cause all the cute hair styles I like seem to only be for long hair

I have extensions, I love them.. I use balmain paris hair extensions there really good quality! My hair used to be not quite as short as yours but close.. I think you should get them if that's what you want for your wedding! Just make sure you have a good stylist so she can blend them well.. Other than that they should look awesome!

I say go for it! Maybe you can do a trial to see how it looks and if you like it!

I think I am going to get extensions for my wedding day hair as well.

depends if you want permanent extensions or clip in.  clip ins are cheaper but if your hair is short that might mean permanent would look more natural.  i would consult a hairstylist to see if your hair is suitable to have permanent extensions.  i know i can't because i have fine hair.  but clip ins work great for me but my hair is a lot longer than yours.  hope that helps!

I almost used extensions. But I bought them (a full clip in peice) when my hair was shorter, now my hair is longer than the extensions and they were 23 inches long.

extensions are fun. but I agree.... I'd get them done at the salon so they don't look too choppy between the extensions and your natural hair.

comming from a hair stylist i would say...... get some clip in ones and go to a salon. your stylist should be able to work them in. i would suggest pulling as much possible back into a loose ponytail and then pinning the remaing of your strands back toward the pony. clip the extensions arounf the base of the pony and lossesly curl and pin them to cover the pinned back hair and pony tail. think of a low messy curled bun. google lauren conrad at the vmas
