Bridesmaid Meet and Greet
22 days away!
So I have planned an event for my ladies once a month so we can all bond. The first event will be the Bridesmaid Meet and Greet Brunch on the 22nd. I have notebooks with wedding information I found to use and some given to me by my great planner:
*wedding overview-date, place, time, etc * map and directions of wedding *pictures and styles of dresses *duties *contact information *special note to each bridesmaid stating why I chose them *notebook *personalized pens We will have brunch at noon, introduce ourselves,do an icebreaker, go over packet,head over to Alfred Angelo and see how different dress styles work on our beautiful variety of sizes. I have bought tote bags from hobby lobby on sale and will decorate them with their names and put their notebook inside of there along with a gift from me. |

The venue for my reception said they would not be able to have a plug source for uplighting the trees and it could only be done by battery uplightig. I found some on save-on-crafts.com. If you order 3, you get them for 19.95 each.

Sore from workout!!!
Taebo Amped Workout, Day 2!
I am so sore you guys. this is my second day using Taeboworkout and Billy is kicking my butt. I am following the routine calender given with the dvd, so tomorrow I will be doing Core Express. I have not even used the amplifier bar yet.
*** Side note of how I got this DVD set. Ok so my FH and I went to Wal-Mart ( I told him I needed soap, when i really wanted to visit the Martha Stewart wedding section) I was wearing a dress and I had it on all day at work, but all of a sudden my thighs began to hurt from them rubbing together. Um, I just felt bad all the way to the fitness section and brought the 5-set dvd with bar and book for $29.00. So wish me luck ladies. I should know better as a Nutrition/ Health double major. I have to make ure this dress fitting goes well on September 12, 2009. |

One of our reception drinks
Pink Haze Cranberry Martini
To go with our color scheme and use as one of our signature drinks, I found this drink that has smoke coming from it. It uses the following ingredients:
Vanilla vodka(may use champagne and add vanilla dyrup) Cranberry juice heavy cream grenadine juice The effect of the smoke comes from dry ice which dissolves instantly. |

I am now a Pink Bride!!!!
From peacock theme to Miami theme!!!
My original wedding date was March 26, 2011, but now sooner June 5, 2010. Since it goes from spring o summer wedding I wanted a lighter color combination. My new colors are coral pink, persimmon, and cafe with accents of spice, tangelo, sunsine, and gold.Basically everything on the page I found in the Alfred Angelo Book. The colors are in the pics to the left. we have a planner now and a caterer. We will have a cocktail pre-reception with the white lounge section, paper lanterns, lemonade and tea bar, folowed by a reception with the round cake chuppah, mojito bar and linens and rentals provided by Darryl & Co. I am so excited!!!!

Is it ok to have plastic dinnerware for reception?
My friend told me it was tacky to have plastic plates for a wedding reception. I mean I like certain plastic plates especially triangle and square ones.
