Please, Help me find this DIY project

Somewhere I saw a DIY project with thin wood veneer or wood paper wrapped around a glass cylinder, with a image cut out of it with an exacto knife and used as a table number with a candle inside. Has anyone else seen it? I would like to make them. I may have to DIY from scratch if not. They don't seem hard, just requiring meticulousness.

I might try just printing on the veneer as if it was paper. A grapevine and some little birds with a table number probably. I think it is thin and flexible enough to make it through my printer and then add some ribbon, silver gray or champagne?

I don't think the veneer will take your image...  it might make a huge mess...  what about printing everything you want, including texture of the veneer, on vellum instead?

Most use Vellum paper. They have it in different colors and textures and thicknesses. They may even have some that has the "wood" texture to it.

You literally print the number on the paper from your printer, roll it into a tube and attach together with double sided sticky tape.
You then pop it over a votive candle(in the jar) or just over a battery operated tea light candle.
I made some for a bride a while back. Its a great look! I was going to do this as well, but it would look weird with my centerpieces...then again I really like it so maybe I should try lol

I remember something where the wood grained paper, or whatever is was, was cutout instead of printed on. Like a luminario.

It looks like textured vellum paper. The images are from a hole paper punch and the pieces are is glued onto the vellum paper. I saw paper hole punchers at Walmart the other day.  Here is a link so you can see what I'm talking about:
