We're Married!
Can't Believe the Wedding/Planning is Over!!
It was just as I thought it would be and these photos are just from the groom's mother's camera.
I haven't even seen the one's from my photographer, but I am sooo excited to see all 1300 of them this weekend. I woke up at 8:30 am to get my hair done, ate lunch at 12 pm, started getting read at 1 pm, photographer came and took shots of my girls and i getting ready, and then had an hour to spare so we just hung out! I completely recommend anyone a 3 PM wedding ~ its great, no rushing at all. The weather was just right. Earlier in the day when I was getting my hair done it rained lightly, but not a down pour. I loved my hairstyle, It was just right. Natural and chic. I did my own make-up and absolutely recommend false eyelashes for pictures!! We bought umbrellas just in case it continued to rain, but turned out we didn't need them. The rain stopped an hour or so before so the streets and sidewalks were dry near the church. There were torrential down pours in the city, but not at the golf course where we had our reception. The pictures we took at the golf course couldn't have been more scenic and wonderful! Everyone was suprised I did everything all by myself! I was very happy with the purples I chose for my wedding. Everyone was so suprised that I wasn't a bridzilla on the wedding day and I was so non-stressed it was weird! The signature drink that my fiance and I chose to name the "purple sunset" was a total hit. The cake pops favours that I made for the wedding were total hit, and guests kept asking how they could make them at home!! The homemade cupcakes were also a hit, I had an uncle eat 4 in one swoop! We walked down the aisle to Keith Urban's "Making Memories of Us", our song to leave the church was Bon Jovi's "Thank You For Loving Me" and our first dance was to "The Way You Look Tonight". I love my hubby so much, I couldn't have asked for a more memorable day. A part of me is sad to see it all done.... If i could plan more weddings, I would. It is so much fun. I love planning weddings!!! Wishing all the other purple brides out there a wonderful day full of laughter, happiniess, and joy. Everything was so worth it! xoxo Graciewacie |

Sending out Invitations....
Most tedious process of all!
Ugghhh....wedding invitations....are well...very tedious process! Getting all the appropriate addresses of the groom's side of relatives is a task in its self! Especially when your fiance is too busy with his job and his family is currently in the middle of moving into their new house.
Luckily, my younger sister helped me assemble the remaining half of the invitations. And everyone is asking where their invitation is! AHHHHHH!!! I think this is the officially when my wedding planning stress begins....lol |

Cake Lollipops
Super Cute & Affordable Wedding Favour
I LOVE this website blog called Bakerella (http://bakerella.blogspot.com/2008/04/make-your-cupcakes-pop.html) ..sooo cute and the things I found on this website that are mostly DIY are awesome!!
She said 1 box of cake mix and 1 can of frosting makes 48-50 cake lollipops! How cheap is that!! Gather up the girlfriends and make 3 cake boxes worth of cake pops!! Waaay more original than my first plan of bagging up a handful of hershey kisses for my favours!! in the above link she has them shaped as mini cupcake shaped lollipops but its easier I think to keep them as cute round balls! DIY Cupcake stand ~ 150 Cupcakes
love it!
http://themeckleys.com/blog/2009/01/giant-diy-cupcake-stand%22/
I'm going to ask my dad if he will help me make this. I hope to make mine white and purple! And buy all the building materials from Home Depot & Michaels!! Oh and then I found a even easier idea...instead of using PVC to space out the tiers, I'm just going to buy short cylindrical vases and then put flowers inside of the vases to jazz up the cake stand...that way I can just stack the tiers in my car and then easily set it up the night before the wedding !! Whew am I glad to do that instead cuz the girl who made that one in the photo said it gets REALLY heavy to transport when its pre-assembled before the cupcakes are on it!! Gracie |

MmMm Cupcakes!
Possible Homemade Wedding Cupcake ideas...
I am thinking of doing either chocolate cupcakes dipped in dark chocolate ganachesquares or possible even now thinking of doing miniature square cakes in ganache...and then using a fine brush to paint on a filigree design using gold edible lustre dust.
Hmmm I am going to have to find a cupcake stand online or make one somehow that can hold approx. 150 cupcakes...if anyone has any ideas on a cupcake stand let me know :) |

Smokey Eye Look
Perfect for you ASIAN BRIDES!
I have a very hard time finding a makeup artist who knows how to apply eye make up well on asian eyes.
Great look for a night out. I think its sophisticated and classy. Make sure you blend well with a blending brush!!!! Also, if you need a blending brush and don't want to fork over a fortune for a MAC brush, go for E.L.F (eyeslipsface.com) for their $1.00 blending brush, its great value for a dollar and has gotten good reviews on its blending abilities. At checkout type in promotional code: CAROLINA and get 50% off your purchase too! |
