What's Your Review?
Just wondering if any of you are fans of the Very Sexy fragrance from Victoria's Secret. I am a big lover of their Love Spell & a few other VS fragrances, but I am wanting something new from them, & just wanted some real feedback on this particular scent. Let me know what you think!

I don't remember ever really smelling it, but will probably check it out this week.

Loving This Seating Chart!
Chandelier Chic
This seating chart design is from GEDesigns on Etsy. I came across it today & thought it was really pretty, so I saved it. I posted awhile ago about using average size picture frames for seating arrangements, which is what we are considering. This design may work for us...

Gotta Heart Vista Print!
Tent Cards!
Okay, so I was looking thru some of my deals & freebies from Vista Print & trying to see if there are any other items that I need to try and take advantage of. I saw these folded business cards, & my mind started racing. You really can use these for so many tent card functions. They're about the size you'd select for an escort or place card. HOWEVER, due to the fact that they print in bulk off of one design per discount/order, you pretty much would not be able to order different names on each card. But, in my case, I had some thank you cards made up at Etsy a few mons ago (will share pic once I take a pic). They are on tiffany blue shimmer cardstock, with a thank you message & damask. We plan on placing them at each place setting. Something like this can work with the Vista Print offer because it is basically just one generic design. No names or anything.

Just a thought. They're cards for 250 are $29.99 for matte or $49.98 for glossy. Still not a bad deal, but watch for deals because the one I had was for $5.99 for 250. Not bad at all!!!

Do You Know What This Font is Called?
I have been really busy the last couple of months with all things non-wedding related, and I am trying to get back in the swing of things. I am working on some incomplete projects, as well as new, & this font is one that I really want to include in some of my projects, including a welcome pack for our guests.

Does anyone happen to know which font this is???

TIA!!!!

Vintage Napkin Rings
Thanks Ebay :)
I recently missed out on a Marketplace on here with some beautiful napkin rings available. I had this area covered before because I had bought some awesome rhinestone napkin rings similar to ZGallerie's from Hobby Lobby awhile back, but I cannot find the box that I had them in!! So, I didn't want to risk not having them.

I found these at Yallstore on Ebay for a great price. They have a few colors available, but I ordered the clear rhinestone. I ordered enough mainly for the Head Table only.

Pretty Pins for Wedding Party
Tiffany Glam
I posted awhile ago about some petite "Tiffany" Blue Hostess Pins that I had made. They have netting & rhinestones in the center.

Well, I went to a wedding recently & the Wedding Party, ie Hostesses, seemed to blend together, even though they were all wearing the same color. So, I purchased some custom pins/brooches special for our girls to wear & to keep forever. And help them to stand out.

The pins are from Etsy Seller-All That Jazz. I LOVE this seller! She is quick to respond, & shares pics every step of the way. I got the pins in today, & they were all packaged in gift boxes. I am thinking about adding black and white guinea feathers, which is what our guys' bouts have. I think it will all look fabulous on the Hostesses' black dresses.

Almost Done!
My pomanders are done (silk roses-blend of white & ivory ) & tiff blue lampshades on candle holders. The lampshades will alternate with the pomander topped damask vases on every other guest table. For some reason, this has been one of the biggest challenges-deciding centerpieces, but keeping it simple. I still plan to trim the bottoms of the lampshades with flowers or crystal garland. The lampshades are from the awesome Stephanie (Cre8tive).

Menus!
For the Little People :)
Something new added to the kids station! Kids Menus. They're not extravagant....they are eating 1-2 sides already on the adult menu, along with chicken strips, & of course a cupcake like everyone else. The menus add a little pizazz and are informative for the parents as well. We will have a couple of teens on board helping at their area to make sure their little plates are brought to them, instead of things becoming hectic, lol.

Special thanks to Shayne (Printablebride.blogspot.com) & Melissa at Pretty Little Studios for their help!

To Paint-Or Not To Paint....
Ladies, I ordered a couple of "jeweled" stands from a bride online & received them today. I love the pieces, & am thinking of using them on our candy table, along with a few of the apothecary jars we have on hand.

The table cloth will be black and white damask (pictured. that mock setup is from Marta, who I bought the tablecloth from). The candy signs are tiffany-ish blue with white calligraphy. The candy will be in "tiffany" blue/aqua. What color do you guys think I should paint the stands? Here are the options:

A- Black
B- White
C- Tiffany Blue
D- None of it! Leave it Gold.
E- Another color (please list)
F- Silver

Thanks in advance!!!!

Creative Seating Charts
And Inexpensive!
I found this fabulous idea on Project Wedding. Instead of printing alot of escort cards, they used a few table frames to display a smaller seating chart. I thought this was a really good idea & something you can do at home. Just split up the names in alphabetical order, add some flourishes (or your desired details), & print.

I had been planning to put our seating chart in a large Ikea frame on an easel, but we may go with something like this.

Thank You Shayne!
I've Been Crowned
I woke up to some amazing emails, & I really did not expect it all. You ladies are amazing.

Shayne was one of the emailers & she actually was responding to some questions I had. The girl keeps it really real, lol. She really motivated me to keep on keepin on & I just really appreciate it. On top of it all, I now have an official WBC badge over there!! I remember alot of you who I mentioned being WBC Queens (and many others who may not have been mentioned), & so I share my crown with all of you!
It makes me soooo happy to see the power of ONE person sending something positive, & like negativity it can create a chain reaction, but on here, I hope we keep the Blog love & fellowship going strong.

I look on so many pages here & see Blog Love & Blog Awards all over!! WOW!!! That is amazing. And it makes a special difference knowing that you can plan your wedding (and beyond) with people who really have your best interest at heart.

Happy Planning!!! xoxoxo

Too Toxic
Had to Hit Delete-
So I had to make a decision to just eliminate the good the bad & the ugly from my previous post. It has gotten way too toxic on Facebook & I honestly should have done like I normally do, & just not even responded. I apologize to you guys & to the Facebook holder for even sharing the circumstances here. I share alot with alot of you & so I guess because it hurt me, I felt like a good venting. But it clearly is not always best. I refuse to even elaborate on the many comments left there.

I never meant to imply anything negative whatsoever to the person whose Facebook page I saw the message on. I still will not mention names. Thanks for the emails & messages you guys. I do appreciate yall, & I am not asking or looking for any sympathy at all. There is nothing to sympathize over. And yet to my haters, well...hate on. That mess takes too much energy for me.

Sparkler & Program Boxes
Check & Check!
Here is our last round of pretty boxes. The larger oval box is for the ceremony programs to be held. The smaller round boxes have scalloped bottoms, similar to my inspiration pic (middle pic). They will be at the reception to hold & display the sparklers (haven't bought the sparklers yet).

Tiffany's was the other part of the inspiration, but rather than a white ribbon, I opted for ivory. The lighting makes it look white.

So in the beautiful world of blogging, I do have another blog in which I have received awards from other bloggers. It's always free, but never fails to get me all excited to receive them. So without blabbing all night, I will use some of these awards to start gifting to 5 brides at a time. But the catch is that if YOU are the recipient, to Pass it Forward! You have to award 5 other brides!

In your post, list 5 things about you. ANY 5 things. Okay, so here we go with the brides...drumroll.......

How Do You Keep Love Alive?
We all have the common bond here of love and being loved. And although I can't find myself without my FH, we have had our ups & downs like anyone else. In all the busyness of life, jobs, family, wedding planning, marriage, etc... how do YOU keep your love alive & vibrant? What are some things that you & your FH/DH do to make sure you spend time together & keep things healthy? Any special touches?? Your tips may help someone else here with new ideas to try out, so please do share! :)

I actually had made up some bathroom boxes before, but I decided to go with something that was a little more chic, but would also serve as a long time staple in our home after the wedding. I've decided to have a bathroom in these colors, so we can use these items there :)

Anyhow, I have lots of items already for the ladies room from The Dollar Tree & Target's trial/travel section, but I still need to grab a few things for the guys' box as well. I love these little boxes!

Sorry about all the duplicate pics of the boxes. My photo loader is in a really bad mood & just not doing right at all.

Candleabra at Ceremony?
Can someone please break down for me what the difference between the Candleabras & Unity Candles at the wedding ceremony is? I have seen both & all of the above, but never really understood. I think it is beautiful, and really, I had only planned on having our unity candle lighting, but is the candleabra supposed to be there as well, or is it preference? Is anyone here using one? I know that the unity candle is for the parents & the new husband & wife to light, but I am lost everywhere else, lol.

What Do You Think?!!
I really could use your help. I thought my mind was made up on the song I will walk down the aisle to, but over the weekend-it changed because my Pastor's daughter walked down the aisle to my choice. Of course, more than one person can totally choose the same song, but when you're going non traditional, & you hear "your" song again, it seems sort of "duplicated" & I don't want it to seem like I was copying.

Anyhow, our friend who is singing me down the aisle (lol), introduced a song by Bebe Winans to me, which I like...but not sure I love. I came across another Christian song that really touched me when I heard the words. It reminds me so much of all the things my FH & I have been through together & how we love each other so much. Please check it out when you can & let me know if it sounds wedding worthy.....

Celebrating Love
In Memory of...
I love the crystal place card trees, & I already have a manzanita tree on hand, but we are not doing this display for place cards....I switched it up for a different meaning, and that's to celebrate the lives of our loved ones who are no longer with us.

The main photo is from work done by Dress Your Event on Etsy. She also completed our crystal hang tags for us (pictured). FH knows that Marta (Marta12, tiffany blue & damask bride) was very dear to me, so we are excited to have a special place for her at our wedding. I can't believe her 1 year anniversary would have been this month.

The tall candle will be lit on the table where this is displayed.

So Bella!
I think I'm sold on getting one of these beautifully laced umbrellas for some of our photos. I bought a tiffany blue paper parasol awhile back, but I may not use it. I am really loving the softness & details of this one. Will keep you guys posted! This particular one is from Bella Umbrellas. It is one of the least expensive that they offer. I am going to check a few other places for better prices, but may go with this one....

Update: Found some of these (less expensive) on Ebay :)

Chandelier & Tiffany Blue
So, I ordered some beverage napkins awhile ago from foryourparty.com because they are the only ones who seem to have the closest "tiffany blue" color to me, and the chandelier was an added bonus. Tiffany brides can relate to me in how difficult it is to find certain items in our colors, lol. In person, they are totally worth it.

We will probably use these during the hors douerves/cocktail hour, or during dessert. Not sure.

Finally Done! Almost!
Flower Girl & Banner Bearers' Gifts
Thank you to all of you who helped me narrow down which cardboard suitcase to give to our Banner Bearers (Twins). We chose the black boxes with stripes inside.

For our Flower Girl, we went with a black with tiffany blue tutu tote bag. I couldn't be happier with it! There was a miscommunication with the free embroidery, so her name isn't on it, but it all worked out because I found a $4 black lace/rhinestone hair clip from Forever 21 to attach in the middle. It's ALL stuff they can use again and again. The blue tiffany tag is awesome because the back side is flourish & leaves room for us to write her name & a message.

All of the gift contents are from The Dollar Tree {$5 spending limit, due to the bags/boxes}. The bag is from Etsy. The cardboard suitcases are from Paper Source. The personalized Thank you cards are from Etsy.

Ask a Question
What's Your Wedding Splurge?
What is the most expensive area that may not be mandatory for your wedding, but you gotta have it? For us, I think the splurge is in my details (that darn Etsy!!). Granted, I have some things set aside to sell that I probably wont use, so I have made up for it, but yeah....the details. Beautifully though, we are still on track with budget due to scaling in other areas.

Despite the details, we have a smaller budget (less than 8k...trying to stay under 5) & the only way we're able to do so is because of the following:

Doing food by friends who cook like caterers, lol. VERY fortunate here.
A good friend from church also does photography (took our engagement photos for free). She will do our photos at a fraction of typical cost.
Bought my dress off the rack at Davids Bridal. $100.
Veil was more than the dress, lol! $120.
DJ: FH has a cousin who does this...hopefully he will be available on our date.
Ceremony venue is free by my Pastors at my church. WIll still pay a monetary gift.
Reception Venue: Using a local park indoor center. It is not fabulous, but it is simple, clean & open. WIth white walls! This makes it easy to bring in our decor. Tables & chairs provided, but linens not. Less than $600 for the evening to rent.

I have to be honest about the photography. Because we've poured so much into our planning & such, I really want quality photography at an affordable price. Technically that will be our splurge. The "details" mentioned are all appropriated for & go across the board with every area of the wedding to be complete. I want to be able to have a 2nd photographer on hand to help my friend get special moments, so we are looking into someone in our low price range. I know it can be done!

Which Look Do You Like?
I love the customized bridal hoodies, tees & tanks, but I like things to be a little different. I found some great alternative bridal wear awhile back, but am now coming back to it to try & decide which style I love most.

I am down to the bridal wrap (1st pic) with the bling detailing on the back. I love this because I can slip it over a simple tee or tiffany blue/white tank while I get ready.

The 2nd style is the cute, gray, lightweight hoodie. I love the sorta retro style block font.

Third is the silk bridal shirt, with the teardrop front. I love it because it's romantic, & classy. And seems comfortable, without messing my hair up when I slip it off, lol.

And lastly is the white tee with a royalty flair of detailing.

Each of these can be worn with jeans & totally comfortable.

The site is a little pricey, but in comparison to all the other bridal apparel, it seems abt average. PLUS, there is a SALE going on right now. customglamgirl.com CUSTOMGLAMGIRL.COM CUSTOMGLAMGIRL.COM somehow the site is getting missed :)

Please share your vote! Which style do you like best?!?!?!

Memo Board-Conspiracy!!
Bridezilla on The Loose!
Ladies, I need a friend here to do all the rest of my projects, lol! Better yet, I just need a boost of encouragement. I think I'm just tired...Ive been filling in for my Site Coordinator for awhile now & rushing around running errands for my parents, & running late getting out of the house as I'm fiddiling around on my laptop now, lol!!

Most of you may remember that Im making a memo board for our guestbook & Ive started on it...thinking it'd take me no time, but I need more dumb rhinestones now! I got a great deal, but I wasn't trying to go overboard and make 2 great deals. It's coming together...kinda...but I just need to walk away from it right now, haha. I think this memo board is out to get me, lol. The middle pic looks like cats played with it! The last pic is better...it's tight & secure...getting there...

Anybody else have to leave your DIY projects alone for a minute & then come back later?

Reception Signage
Details That Are US
Most of my signage & print details are coming to a completion until we need our invites & programs.

I wanted to have just a few ornate frames around the reception that tie into our relationship. I only pictured 2 tonight, and will save the rest until the big day :) They all include scriptures that mean alot to us, and other words of encouragement. One of my faves is a lyrical quote from the first song we'll dance to as man & wife: "As" by Stevie Wonder.

You can click on the graphic images to better read the text. My actual photos aren't showing up well. I LOVE the designs. One is a pintuck with ornate & the other is black damask with ornate. Thanks to Printablebride.com for bringing it to life. :)

PS: The sign on the black frame looks a little narrow, but the frame is actually a fabric covered bulletin board (small). The little card is pinned on for display.

MOH's Accessories
Finally Checking it Off :)
For my MOH's accessories, I wanted simple & chic. I was able to find a beautiful crystal bracelet wristlet, with a non-traditional satin ribbon tie (sorta like the "bracelets" I made for part of the Wedding Party help). I found it on Etsy for $20, which saved me bucks versus the brooch bracelet I was going to get her.

I attached her dress for any curious minds. It's from Davids Bridal, & we loved it when she tried it on. It's in the color "mermaid" which looks a little darker in the pic, but it is a great match to Tiffany Blue.

Her dress already has a gathered satin rouching area, but I am totally loving the bridal sashes, & I am working on a floral project to adorn her dress in a different way. Will let you guys know how that turns out. MOH is not wearing a necklace..it'd be too much going on, but she will wear crystal chandelier style earrings to compliment the bracelet, as well as a crystal-esque shoe. It's coming together!

Sneak Peek
Tiffany Blue Memo Board
Okay. This is a DIY project that I'm taking on this month. Or, it may be next month-depending on when my Tiffany Blue material finally arrives (I ordered it from the seller who made my cardbox & who is making other special boxes for us).

Anyway, I figured I'd post a "sneak peek" since I picked up our "brooches" this week. They were the best price I could find....$5.99-$6.99 for 2, because they are actually Earrings! The best thing about them is that they were buy one get one free, so I bought all they pretty much had, lol. It was only 6 sets left. Somehow, the price came to $21 & for 12 "brooches" about an inch wide, makes me happy :)

So, here is a sneak at the elements I have for now...will post the final project soon! Wish me luck!!

Dncr2001 recently posted some items for sale & I was wishing I had more of her colors in our wedding, because everything she had/has is fabulous!

Sometimes when you see something online, then get it in your hands, the size or quality is totally different that what you expected, but I had to just post a shoutout because I LOVE my bling votive holders. It's making me want to go get the entire collection from ZGallerie (Hobby Lobby also carries similar items). The sparkle is so pretty in person & she charged way less than the stores.

Anyway, that's all I wanted to say, lol!
