Petal Cones
Adding To the DIY List
Well, I love petal cones, but didn't plan to have them for the wedding....that was until I saw these (the silver cones). I LOVE them!! EVENTistas makes these cones, & they have a store on Etsy. They are comfortably priced, at $2 a piece.

That's where my DIY radar went off. The creative mind behind the lacey, metallic cones has definitely "inspired" me... I bought a pack of doilies of all things from the Dollar Store, & there are 12 per pack. So, for about 120, it still keeps me under 20 bucks for all of the cones & supplies..

Our monogram will go on the outside (like in the 2nd picture), so that the petals don't cover it.

I know, right.  I wish I had thought about some of these things at the beginning of the year!  Thank Goodness Im not getting married in less than 60 days, because that's my ultimate cut off time!!!  I have enough projects now to keep my calendar full until the end of this year, lol!!

They're beautiful! and they should be quick to make. Have you found an inexpensive place for the roose petals? I love the idea of being showered with rose petals but they seem expensive

Hi Bekah...I bought some red rose petals from WalMart a couple of months ago (600 for $4), & I might use those since I have them for a pop of red.  Otherwise, I might just get the white ones from the Dollar Store.   I figure the quality wont be so important for the petal cones, since they're being tossed around :)   You can get 300 for $1 from Dollar Store.  Also, you can order in bulk from dollartree.com. Oh, & www.save-on-crafts has good prices on silk & freeze dried hydrangea & rose petals.  If you want bulk colored, you may want to try them.
