Is Your Wedding Style Becoming a Part of Your Home Style?

As you all know, I have been incorporating both elements of Damask, as well as Chandelier Motifs in my wedding style. I don't purposely get carried away, but I tend to zoom in on the motifs everywhere, which is spreading to decor elements for my home & office alike.

I'm not really heavy on it, but I do have a chandelier (nothing grand or enormous) in my bedroom, & I have been eyeing some damask dishes from Target.

Do you find yourself carrying your wedding style into your home? Not just damask, but whatever your style, or color palette.

Yes! FI and I notice every pattern now, and go "Ohh, that's almost damask, but not quite." It's cute, if he's out and about and sees something damask, he'll call and ask if we need it.

I bought those plates! Target had an AWESOME damask section last Christmas, but I didn't get anything. Had I known I would switch from Tiffany Blue to Green and Damask, I sooo would have snatched that stuff up.

Kind of but the opposite lol. My bedroom is pink and black. I painted several shelves and made an round table skirt and lamp to match about a year ago. When FH and I got engaged and we started planning, I knew I wanted to go with pink and black....My FH was like am I ever gonna get you away from those colors? So sadly I had to agree to change my bedroom all around after we get married :( But its only fair to him.....what kind of guy really wants to live in a bedroom with pink everywhere??

Hahaa! I love pink. I might be able to get away with it in a bathroom or something. My FH is the same way :)

I think our home and lifestyle ended up in our wedding.

My home decor is very casual and clean lines color green and my yard - the crazy flower lady yard. Laughs!

My wedding theme actually kinda came from the theme I want to have for our bathroom lol!! We don't have this theme yet (right now there's dolphins everywhere)...but I've been eyeing some seashell/beach themed bathroom decor for a long time now and I figured we could just wait til the wedding and put all that stuff on our gift registry, so that's why the bathroom isn't decorated that way yet. Anyways, so it's our future bathroom theme (and possible bedroom theme too) that actually helped give me the idea to have a beach themed wedding lol!!

a little bit... I think I may have done it the other way around though.. I got some stuff for the house I loved and then my wedding theme was born. lol.

although I did register for those exact damask dishes in your picture and a damask bed set as well. lol

To a TEE! I think the house style came first, though, actually. I have the same ivory-beige-neutral colors and feather-grass-fur-sand textures all over our house. We started with FH's giant German antique hutch (complete with dragons carved into it!) and went to the Northern-European Lodge-y Feel from there. We bought a new leather sofa & club chair, to go with my ivory over-stuffed loveseat & club chair and some great, heavily-carved heirloom side tables, and we just added this fabulous overstuffed cheetah-print ottoman and a chenille throw. It rocks! I'm definitely going for a similar feel to the wedding, but a little lighter, beachier, and more feminine.

I sure do! Pink s one of my fave colors, so my FH knew he was in for it, but we both like the really clean, timeless look of white, so we both tend to buy alot of it. It's getting a little crazy closer to the wedding.

Yes, i do the same thing but before I started planning i wanted to do my room in pink and brown then got engaged so i have spreaded it other places slowly. Pink is my favorite color so I pretty much already had a lot of it around.

Hey Sonya...Thats a good question?Actually yes and I wear that color alot...and were actually talking about when we think where ready to hae kids...All I see is Pink and brown if it a girl cut colors for a baby room target sell it alot the comforter and stroller and car seat but beside that I actually been doing a lot with my clothes and getting things in Pink and Brown and Actualy my bathroom is the beach theme with Ivory behinf it so Yes to me it do seem like Im adding my wedding colors and theme into it.
