Ask a Question
What Are You & The Brows Doing For the Big Day!?

Just wondering what you ladies are doing for your day of eyebrows, or if you'll be doing anything to them at all. IMO, a cleanly arched or manicured eyebrow can really open & beautify one's look, but understandably is not a choice for all.

The options that I'm aware of are:
Tweezing (I'm known to put baby Anbesol on my brows & tweeze a pretty, clean arch)

Waxing (the good old Hot Stuff)

Threading (An increasingly popular ancient Middle Eastern and Indian method of hair removal. Basically, a skilled threader uses a soft piece of cotton to individually pull out strands of pesky lil hairs and in a matter of minutes, you’re hair free! This can be done on your brows, your upper lip or your face)

Or, Tattooing..

I have tried all of the above EXCEPT the tattooed brows. I didn't think I'd like the threading, but it gives a really gives a smooth, beautiful & long lasting finish. Plus, it's natural (they generally use cotton, opposed to ht waxes with chemicals), so it leaves my brow area from being puffy & red.

As for the wedding day, it'll probably be my infamous tweezers or the threading. How about you?

I'm tweezing. I'm good at grooming my brows, so therefore can't justify spending the money on getting them waxed.

yeah definitely tweezing for me. I've had them waxed once and it just didn't turn out the way i like them when i do them myself. it was still fine, but i guess im picky maybe. and i also have that nice arch :) i think im good at tweezing so i will stick with that :)

I'll be tweezing, trimming AND waxing. the wonderful genetics in my family have given me insanely thick, bushy, unibrow eyebrows unless they're severely tamed and I'm not a fan of brooke shield eyebrows (even though she pulls them off quite well). I have yet to find anywhere in this town who can do my eyebrows quite how i like them- very thin, with a very high arch, and slightly thinned out & tapered off much shorter than most peoples (I fill mine in with eyeshadow to get that old hollywood look). So, I tweeze & trim mine to get the right shape, length and density, and then have them waxed to clean up any stray hairs and even it up if I've made a little mistake.

::raising hand:: I'm a waxer, lol.  I wish I knew how to tweeze like you ladies :(  Last attempt, I pluked a patch out & had to pencil the hole back in...

I get mine waxed every other week. I thought about threading soooo many time. But, I'm just scared it'll hurt (like waxing doesn't...lol). So, most likely, I will stick to the waxing.

Got to go with the waxing on this one. I wax my own brows every couple of weeks. you may want to think about waxing them, especially if you are going on your honeymoon right after the wedding. This way you don't have to worry about tweezing while you are on vacation. I plan on having the bikini, underarms, and legs waxed as well. A little splurge, but to think...I won't have to worry about shaving and/or razor burn along the bikini area while on my honeymoon! Totally worth it!

I'm a tweezer. if I dont tweeze I look like elvis. I'm scared of wax. I tried to wax my leg once. I cried.

no matter how good i think i am at maintaining my brows...a few months go by and i'm lopsided.  so i will definitely be getting threaded before the wedding.

I'm getting mine waxed the day before the wedding. My MOH and I are going to get manicures, pedicures and our eyebrows waxed the night before the wedding.

i would say... tweezing or threading. Not much difference, just the tools used.
some people might be sensitive to wax and might have some adverse reaction on the skin which is every bride's nitemare.

tattoo- ABSOLUTE NO! (do i need a reason for this??? lol )
